Pentreath is all about the view over Crantock Bay and the comfort and luxury in which you stay.

Living is open plan with a large sitting room, leading through to the Kitchen Breakfast Room. Both of these rooms have huge windows to make the best of the stunning view.

In the Sitting Room there are two large sofas and two armchairs for comfy seating. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player, I-Pod player and CD player. An open area to the side of this room, has casual seating and is an ideal play space for younger children or those wishing to read quietly!

The living accommodation comprises of a Kitchen Breakfast Room with open plan access to the large living room. Pentreath is well equipped for parties of 8 people with a large dining table with plenty of seating. The well equipped kitchen comprises of units with granite work surfaces, built in oven, electric hob, AGA (optional), microwave with grill, American Style fridge freezer and all the facilities (including a dishwasher) you could want to cook a quick meal or gastronomic feast. There is a washing machine. There are flat screen TVs in the Dining Area and in the Sitting Room. To the rear of the kitchen, there is a spacious indoor hallway and an adjacent tiled shower room . A fanastic holiday base for the larger or extended family. A short walk takes you to Crantock Village (fresh bread and pasties) or the beautiful sandy beach.

The four bedrooms are very comfortable. Two can be arranged as 3' twins or 6' superkings. Two bedrooms have en suite shower rooms, there is a separate family bathroom and large, level entry shower room in the rear lobby, ideal for washing off after the beach. Goose down duvets and Egyptian Linen - bliss!

Pentreath provides the ideal accommodation for a beach based holiday on nearby Crantock Beach where you can enjoy surfing, swimming, sunbathing, rockpooling, dune surfing, walking etc etc. All of Cornwall's visitors attractions can be found withing 40 minutes - 1 hours. For the gastronomes, 15 is nearby and Padstow is a 30 minute drive. Our Crantock cottages provide a peaceful respite from the craziness!

The start date and end date of holidays (change over day) is fixed and cannot be changed. Short breaks can start on a different day but must start and end within the booking week. Please note we do not start holidays at any other date than the displayed start date.


From September to May cottages are charged at a base rate for the minimum number of guests as stated in the pricing tab. Additional guests may be added as shown in the pricing tab. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term.


Short Breaks of 4 nights or less are between November and Easter, excluding school holidays, at a discount of 10% off the full week price. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term. Please note: we do not offer short break discounts at other times.


In cottages where dogs are allowed, they are charged at £40 each. A refundable occupancy deposit may be payable on arrival to the Property Manager. We do not allow more than 2 dogs in any of our properties.


At least half of your party must be over 23 to book one of our cottages.

Seven minutes walk away is Crantock's sandy beach which is suitable for families and surfers alike. Five minutes walk away are two pubs, a Londis grocery store, Post Office, art gallery and the church of St Carantock.

The cottage has its own enclosed patio and garden with barbeque and table for eight. The garden is laid mainly to shrubs and lawn with a glass screened patio area - ideally placed for the morning sun and to enjoy the view. To the west side of the house there is a porched seating area with a log burner - ideal to watch the sun set. There is off-road parking for three cars.

Crantock View also changes over on a Sunday and is in close proximity to all our Pentreath and our other Crantock Village cottages, making an ideal choice for booking as part of a larger group.

Pubs and Eating

Cornwall is an excellent place to eat and drink. It has everything from the local Cornish Pasty (available eveywhere!) through to award winning restaurants, such as Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver.


Crantock is the site of an altogether much older settlement - Langurroc, which means the 'dwelling of the monks'. The village gets it name from the Celtic Saint Caranog, who is also known as Carantoc. It is suggested that Crantock was founded by St.Carantacus in the 5th century, who was the son of a Welsh chieftain, and established his church. The present church is reputed to be built upon the same site.

It is only five miles from Newquay, but a world apart. It is popular with families in the summer and people who wish to surf, walk and enjoy all Cornwall has to offer all year round. There is a regular bus service to Newquay and taxis can be booked.

Crantock Beach is a great beach for families and surfers alike. It has a wide sandy beach with sand dunes between the beach and the village. At low tide you can walk along the beach to West Pentire. Polly Joke beach is the next beach around the coast going west. It has been described as one of the best beaches in Cornwall. It has to be walked to, making it less busy than other beaches in Summer.

Pubs and Eating - Crantock has two pubs, the Cornishman and The Old Albion Inn, which are a short walk from the properties in Crantock Village. The Bowgie Inn, in West Pentire, is a short walk from Cormorant, Guillemot and Kittiwake. In Cubert, 2 miles from Crantock, the Smugglers Den, has a reputation for good food and wine.

"Stunning holiday bungalow with fabulous views of dunes, beach and sea!"

This property has it all for those who surf and those who like to watch! The views from the large picture windows in the open plan lounge and dining room are stunning. The views combined with the open plan layout of the lounge/kitchen gives the property a really good feel - great for family and friends get-togethers. There is a utility room with shower close to door for wet sandy surfers - even a rack to dry your wet suit! Nice large garden, outside seating protected from any breeze catches the morning sun - perfect for breakfast al fresco. The property had been beautifully cleaned and prepared for our visit. Bedding and towels etc. were impeccable - just how I like them. Easy walk to the dunes - our doggies loved it. Would definitely return
