The Swiss Alps / Valais/Swiss Alps region
The Valais (Wallis) is a French (western part) and german (eastern part) speaking canton. The region is actually one huge valley, the Rhone valley, bordered on each side by mountain peaks.
Crans-Montana is centrally located on the northern slope, so facing south. It is a convenient starting point for day trips towards the many typical Swiss mountain villages of the Valais or to historical sites, such as the medieval city of Sion.
Crans Montana / Crans-sur-Sierre area
Crans-Montana is situated on a sunny plateau, 1500m high. It is actually a small city in the mountains. This means you'll find all facilities you could need. The really typical Swiss villages are located just below Crans-Montana, nestled in between vineyards and orchards. These places of interest can be reached by car, bus or funicular. The fit ones can walk or cycle down (and up!). Wintertime offers extensive ski opportunities with up to 140km of slopes. Summertime offers activities for all tastes and ages: golfing on the worldwide renowned golf-course, hosting the yearly Swiss open tournament, hiking, mountain-biking, horse-riding, paragliding, swimming, attending the various events and festivals, or simply relaxing and shopping. Crans-Montana is a paradise for golfers and mountain-bikers.
How to get there
By car: Motorway A9 to Sierre. From Sierre follow signs to Crans-Montana (+/- 15km).
By Public transport: Flight to Geneva airport most convenient. Catch a 2-hour train to Sierre (Siders) From Sierre, take a taxi, a 30 min bus or the funicular (12 min) to Crans-Montana. In Crans-Montana, take the local shuttle. There is a bus stop at 100m from the apartment.

Declining rates negotiable for longer stays or very low season..
For a weekly stay, a deposit of CHF 350 will be required, in addition to the rent. Balance will be refunded upon final settlement, after discounting excluded expenses.
