The South East England region

Known as the Garden of England, Kent is a great place to relax and explore thanks to its unique blend of countryside with rolling green hills, coast and breathtaking historic attractions

Kent is full of distinctive, contrasting attractions: from the romantic castles and historic houses full of treasures in the Heart of Kent, to the imposing castles built as coastal defences, from secret gardens and stately sweeps to maritime adventures aboard warships and lamp lit tours of ancient caves. Whatever your interest, Kent's diverse personality is sure to capture your imagination.

Cranbrook

The location of Hawkridge Oast means that you are spoilt for choice for a range and variety of local tourist attractions. There are many quaint villages in the surrounding countryside with a wide selection of country pubs, restaurants and tea-rooms.

Take a walk in the beautiful gardens of Sissinghurst Castle, only walking distance away. Bedgebury Pinetum is the perfect place for healthy outdoor exercise, with miles of family cycling; mountain biking, walking, horse riding and adventure play for all ages, including Go Ape where you can swing through the trees in a course of tarzan nets and zip wires.

Biddenden Vineyards are approx 5 miles away, producing white, red, rose and sparkling wines. They are also noted for their strong Kentish ciders and farm pressed apple juice. Bewl Water is the south east's largest reservoir and is settled within a green and wooded Wealden valley just south of Lamberhurst. There are many activities that you can pursue in either the lake itself or the land surrounding it, including sailing, cycling & fishing.
