Once a double oast and large barn dating from 1880, Hawkridge Oast has been converted into a unique and picturesque house.
The two roundels, once used for drying hops now provide the vast figure of eight sitting room with a central fireplace, and two large round bedrooms, one of which is en suite.
Three further double bedrooms, two further bathrooms, together with a large well equipped kitchen, dining area to seat at least 10, and large garden with patio make Hawkridge Oast excellent for one or two families or a large group seeking a relaxing holiday in Kent.
Situated just one hour’s drive from South London, 30 minutes from the coast and surrounded by the rolling fields of Kent and numerous tourist attractions and country walks, this is a lovely place to escape to.
There is lots of parking space. Pets are welcome but please check first. There is good mobile coverage at the house.

Hawkridge Oast is set in 15 acres of rolling Kent countryside. The house has a huge patio with outdoor seating for 15+ people and comes complete with large webber bbq & hammock.
There are lovely views into the surrounding fields, with horses, cows, sheep and plenty of pheasants to spot.
The house is very nicely set up with comfy beds and all the mod cons including wifi & sky tv.
Anyone staying at Hawkridge Oast will leave feeling refreshed and satisfied - all our guests have an amazing time (see comments)

The Cranbrook / Sissinghurst area
The location of Hawkridge Oast means that you are spoilt for choice for a range and variety of local tourist attractions. There are many quaint villages in the surrounding countryside with a wide selection of country pubs, restaurants and tea-rooms.
Take a walk in the beautiful gardens of Sissinghurst Castle, only walking distance away. Bedgebury Pinetum is the perfect place for healthy outdoor exercise, with miles of family cycling; mountain biking, walking, horse riding and adventure play for all ages, including Go Ape where you can swing through the trees in a course of tarzan nets and zip wires.
Biddenden Vineyards are approx 5 miles away, producing white, red, rose and sparkling wines. They are also noted for their strong Kentish ciders and farm pressed apple juice. Bewl Water is the south east's largest reservoir and is settled within a green and wooded Wealden valley just south of Lamberhurst. There are many activities that you can pursue in either the lake itself or the land surrounding it, including sailing, cycling & fishing.

If you are coming from London, it's just a one hour drive from South London, along the M25 and the the A21. It's usually very quick and traffic free. The nearest train station is Staplehurst just 2km away, and is a 60 minute train ride from Charing Cross or London Bridge
If coming from abroad, you can fly to Heathrow (70km) or Gatwick airports (50km). Ryanair, Easyjet, BMI and BA all offer cheap flights. There are plenty of car hire companies at these airports to rent a car from and get you to the house. Alternatively you could drive over, and take the ferry from Calais to Dover. The house is then 40km away.
