The Cornwall region
Situated in a peaceful hamlet just a 5 minute drive from the beach at Crackington Haven. This part of the coast is an Area of Outstanding Beauty and is on the South West Coast Path.
With good road links on the doorstep you can explore the whole of Cornwall and Devon. Whatever your interests Cornwall has it all on offer from high adrenalin sports to houses and gardens. From tiny coves quite often to yourself or big long sandy beaches. Inland there are lots of small undiscovered villages and miles of unwalked footpaths.
If art is your thing then head to St.Ives but there are also many other places waiting to be found!
We are located just off one of Cornish cycle tracks, with the famous Camel Trail within half an hour of the house.
Golf, fishing, sailing....Come and see for yourself!
There are lots of places worth a visit within half an hour.
Boscastle - a small fishing village with a pretty harbour area. Lots of good places to eat and drink. Made famous in 2004 when it was very badly flooded.
Port Isaac is another fishing village going south along the coast, very quaint with lots of old cottages and very narrow streets used for the location of Doc Martin.
Widemouth Bay is a long sandy beach good for surfing, it has a good fresh fish shop too.
Bude has 2 main beaches, Summerleaze beach has the benefit of a great sea pool too. There are lots of small shops and this is the closest place to find a big supermarket.
North of Bude there are lots of quieter beaches - try Sandymouth for a sandy beach, or Duckpool for some excellent rock pooling!
