The property is conveniently situated right in the heart of Cowes, with a secluded entrance in a small gated courtyard off the High Street. An old seaman's residence, it was completely renovated to a high standard a few years ago and retains its character with some quaint sloping ceilings and floors. On 4 floors over a small clothing store at the front.
A smart front door opens into an entrance hall with multiple coat hooks and shoe rack, continuing up a characterful winding stairway (not suitable for disabled or infirm) to the first floor, comprising the bright airy kitchen. Fully equipped with oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, plenty of cupboard space, smart white china and fine glasses, and equipment to suit every eventuality, plus a drop leaf table which can accommodate 6 people, and fabulous views over the marina and harbour from the huge window.
The spacious sitting room has two comfy sofas and an Ottoman, a wall-mounted flat screen free view TV, DVD player, wifi connection, coffee table, plus a dining/computer table for 6 people, and full bookshelves.
Stairs lead up to a large airy twin (could be triple) bedroom, with wardrobe and chest of drawers. Onward to a bunk bedroom with fantastic views over the marina and Solent. Chest of drawers and hanging rail. Also on this floor is a bathroom with spacious shower bath with glass screen, loo and basin, plenty of shelves, towel rails and hooks.
Stairs lead up to the master bedroom, with velux window and fabulous views over the marina and Solent. With brand new super-king bed, or twin bed option. Wall mounted flat screen free view TV. Chest of drawers, spacious shelving and hanging space. Leading into a spacious bathroom with luxuriously large shower, large basin area and loo, plus more shelving!
New - residents parking permit tickets now available. Parking available in surrounding streets. Free on Sundays and after 6pm.

The property is conveniently situated right on Cowes High Street - which is closed to traffic during the day and restricted at night. Great if you like to be in the centre of the action! A good selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs are all within a minutes walk.
Several beaches also within walking distance. There is plenty of public parking nearby, we can advise of the best places.
Boat trips can also be organised, we have our own 8.75 metre Scorpion RIB available for charter, which can take up to 6 people on a speedy ride around the Solent.
We can only accept rentals from those over the age of 21, except under special circumstances.

With over half the Island designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a network of footpaths that stretches over 500 miles it's easy to get close to nature. Alternatively, if you are looking for somewhere to be spoilt then indulge yourself in the Isle of Wight's fine restaurants, art galleries and historic houses.
Separated by the River Medina and linked by a chain ferry, the Isle of Wight's most northerly towns of Cowes and East Cowes are steeped in maritime heritage.
Cowes is a Mecca for yachtsmen and hosts many national and international events. During the sailing season the waterfront is a kaleidoscope of colourful sails, whose focal point is the Royal Yacht Squadron. It is a historical old town, with a narrow high street, filled with a wonderful array of clothing and interior shops, restaurants and pubs which often reflect the marine environment. There is a lovely parade and beach front where you can amble along and enjoy watching the action on the water.
East Cowes is the terminus of the car and passenger ferry from Southampton. The town has a large marina, small shops, restaurants and a seafront promenade. It is also home to Queen Victoria's magnificent Osborne House.

"Lovely flat in lovely Cowes"

"Beautiful West Cowes holiday flat"
This flat is perfectly situated on the (pedestrian-only) high street. It is literally steps away from all the amenities and sights. The flat is very cozy, well equipped, and makes you feel like you are on holiday. Two of the three bedrooms face the beautiful harbour, and away from any noise that might be found on the high street side. There are easy on-street parking (for residents and guests) within 5 minute walk.
