"Such a wonderful house. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay ..... I spent the mornings on the balcony watching my team and boat start and finish off the Island Sailing Club line."

"Beautifully decorated and well-equipped and what a lovely view! We very much enjoyed our stay"

"We had a wonderful time at Mismusters! It's a delightful, comfortable house in a wonderful location. The owners obviously like television – there were more TVs there than in the average Comet store. It was nice that the owners felt comfortable leaving their personal possessions there, that's quite unusual these days. I hope we'll go back there again one day."

About this location

The Isle of Wight region

The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break, at any time of the year. Situated off the South Coast of England, the Island was made popular by Queen Victoria who had her maritime residence at Osbourne House - it's a stunning Island with unspoilt scenery and a wealth of fascinating attractions, beautiful coastline including many sandy beaches and The Needles, spectacular countryside and long sunshine hours.

For the energetic there are plenty of activities to enjoy, including walking, cycling and sailing. With over half the Island designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a network of footpaths that stretches over 500 miles, it's easy to get close to nature. Alternatively, if you are looking for somewhere to be spoilt, then indulge yourself in the Isle of Wight's fine restaurants, art galleries and historic houses.

The Isle Of Wight is an ideal destination for visitors of all ages.

Cowes

Best known as the world's premier yachting centre, Cowes is the Island's main port with a natural harbour at the mouth of the Medina river. Yachtsmen from all over the world participate in the season's prestigious sailing events, the most famous being Cowes Week which is held annually at the beginning of August.

Shopping in the narrow pedestrianised High Street is a delight, with some excellent shops, many catering for the yachting fraternity. The town also has an array of fashionable clothing shops, gift shops, delicatessens, local fish, meat, fruit & veg shops and bakeries, 2 supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and lively pubs. The high speed passenger catamaran service to Southampton is centrally located at Fountain Quay, where you will also find the Tourist Information Centre.

Above the High Street and overlooking the Solent is Northwood House and Park. This classical style mansion was built in 1837 and given to the town in 1929, together with its 26 acres of grounds which now provide public tennis courts, bowling greens, putting green and a children's play area.

East Cowes is where you will find the magnificent Osborne House, former seaside holiday home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

Cowes is also well placed for the Isle of Wight Festival that's held at Newport, ten minutes drive away.

"What a wonderful house"

Clean, well equipped, spacious house on three levels with fantastic views, from all rooms, directly overlooking the water. Quiet position within a 5 min walk to the shops and restaurants. Large living area on the middle floor with a balcony, huge TV and comfortable seating. Great kitchen with all mod cons. Comfortable beds with feather pillows. Altogether a wonderful place to stay.
Suitable for people with mobility problems, there is a wet room on the ground floor + an ensuite bedroom and a study. There is, however, a flight of stairs up to the kitchen and living room - and no toilet on this floor.

"Great location and excellent facilities"

We loved the views over Cowes from the terrace and the kids loved the numerous tvs! It was a great base for visiting the island and from which to sail with Cowes yacht haven almost next door.

"Beautiful home from home!"

It is a beatful home over looking the Solent! Plenty for you to watch as you drank your tea or gin and tonic! Our family came for dinner several nights and there was plenty of room and plenty of silver ware and plates for everyone. Having the living space on the mid level was great. Every bedroom had a great view of the marina.

"Wonderful location, great views, ever changing scenery."

I always have a dreadful time trying to find the ideal house and location for our entire party, two fifty somethings, an octogenarian and a couple of younger people that want to see and do everything. It seems that I got it right this time. The house (on three levels) suited everyone, from a ground floor bedroom with en-suite that suited my mother to perfection to the balcony with outstanding views and bbq that suited my son and daughter in law on the warm evenings when we could dine outside. The house was in a very good location, five minutes walk to the main town, but within it's own gated area with parking space which is always very convenient. There were a few annoying little details, washer/dryer for towels etc, and no hair dryer but overall a beautifully maintained property ideal for all the family.

"A wonderful home with outstanding views"

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Mismusters with our grown up family who joined us over the Easter period. The house was so well equipped, clean and extremely comfortable. great beds, linens and fluffy towels. If you like TV then there is one in each bedroom as well as one in the sitting room and one in the media room. A very tasteful home.

Just a short stroll to the town were you have everything you need with some good restaurants.

We will be returning!
