Gillies Cottage was built mid 1800 originally part of the coach house belonging to the Osborne House Estate,Queen Victorias holiday home.
The property is furnished and equipped to a high standard and the spacious lounge, with comfortable sofas and large separate dining room affords plenty of comfort. Downstairs there is also a twin bedroom overlooking the garden and a shower room.
A good sized well equipped kitchen and utility area lead to the attractive, private large garden. It is fully enclosed, so ideal for children or anyone bringing pets.
The patio is furnished with table and chairs and a BBQ is supplied for your use.
A spiral staircase leads you to the first floor with atwin room with ensuite shower room. A large hallway overlooking the garden is ideal for the cot and the master bedroom has a four poster bed. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Parking for several cars is available to the front of the property.
The cottage is family friendly with books and games supplied and free wifi is available with BT sport.
Pets are welcome for a small extra charge.

The Island has everything within its 147 sq mls.and Gillies Cottage is ideally situated to explore the Island.
There is stunning scenery and long stretches of lovely beaches, as well as over 500 miles of well maintained and signposted footpaths.
Within a 15 minute drive is Ryde with its 2 miles of sandy beaches, great for families, it also has an area allocated for dog
There are several historic buildings such as Osborne House (within walking distance), Carisbrook Castle, Yarmouth Castle and Brading Roman Villa and several family attractions such as Sandown Tiger Sanctuary, Dinosaur Isle, Shanklin Chine and beach, Ventnor Botanic Gardens, Blackgang Amusement Park.
In West Wight is Brook/Compton for Dinosaur trail, Alum Bay for The Needles and Amusement Park, Colwell with super shallow sandy beach, Fort Victoria nr Yarmouth with nearby park and viewpoints for Hurst Point.
At Yarmouth Harbour, for Marina, village, river walk, and 'Old Gaffers Festival' at the end of May.
Newtown Creek and the Nature Reserve (Shalfleet) is ideal for bird watching.
Cowes is a bistro and boutique centre, a must to visit, with lots of quirky and expensive specialist shopping.
Other places to visit are Havenstreet Steam Railway, Robin Hill Amusement Park, Amazon World, and Garden Centre. Godshill and its host of interesting places unique to Godshill including the model village.

Gillies Cottage is situated in East Cowes, a 3-4 minute drive from the Red funnel Ferry terminal.
Osborne House with its parkland gardens and Swiss cottage is a few minutes walk away, as is the seafront promenade and shopping centre of East Cowes. From here the chain ferry ( for vehicle and foot passengers) crosses the River Medina to West Cowes renowned for 'Cowes Week' in August and its world class sailing events, eg. 'Round the Island Race'. View the Super size Cruise ships, Yachts, Ferries, and cruisers, as they leave and return to Southampton as you “promenade”.
There are several places to eat within walking distance as well as various shops catering for your day to day needs, including a large Waitrose supermarket next to the ferry terminal.
East Cowes is in a central location, ideal for visiting the many attractions the Island has to offer.
