The property is situated on the sea side overlooking the Irish Sea. The house is protected from most winds and has two sun areas on the deck surrounding the house. It is totally private, and is the perfect escape for reading, writing, painting. Dogs are allowed on the public beaches in Ireland.
A prime site which is quiet and private commanding spectacular views north and south.

The South East Ireland / County Wexford region
Situated in the sunny Southeast, this part of Ireland is reported to have the most days of sunshine. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as leisure centre's, pony riding, sailing, fishing, beach combing and country walks.
The Courtown Harbour / Donaghmore area
Courtown Harbour has sailing activities, a leisure centre, an amusement centre, with bowling. Nearby is a large wooded area through which the Onavaragh River runs making spectacular walks throughout the different seasons. River as well as sea fishing is prolific. Although there are many other attractions in the area, the House of Stories is one not to be missed. Full details of recreation in the area are listed in the house.

From Dublin Airport, take M-50 to M-11 southbound in the direction of Wexford. Exit at Exit 23 for Courtown. Follow the directions for Courtown, turning right on the Coast Road. Travel aprox 10 miles. You will pass a Puegot car dealership on the right hand side of the road. The next turn left will take you to Donaghmore. The Beach House is situated overlooking the sea almost at the end of the road across from an old cemetary.

We went for a week in August 2011, we took our daughter and our two border collies.You definately need a car, as the beach house is quite remote, and is down a very narrow road that ends at the beach. The beach house is very private, and has fantastic views over the sea, The house is well equipped with cooking facilities, washing machine ect. I will definately be back in the future. It is difficult these days to find such a peaceful place that is not in a town or near a caravan site. Would probably be too quiet for teenagers, but if you like to chill, open a bottle of wine and light the bbq after a days beachcombing, this is the place |
