Chalets de la Mouria M8/10
About the home
Courchevel"s reputation as a world class ski area is richly deserved. Set in the vast, Three Valleys, the biggest ski area in the entire world, it offers unrivalled opportunities to skiers of all abilities and contrasting experiences, depending on where you stay. It is divided into 4 main resorts, with 1850 higher up the mountain (very pricey !) and the charming 1300 "Le Praz" which has retained much of its traditional charm but is not always blessed with such good snow as higher up the valley.
Courchevel 1650 is, without question, a great place to go "en famille" with an abundance of green and blue runs as well as some reds to challenge the more experienced. With most of the slopes over 1800m, the north facing aspect and the fantastic work that goes into grooming the pistes, not to mention artificial snow cannons, conditions are maintained to a very high standard throughout the season. To situate the residence in the ski-resort, click here

Courchevel 1850 is just a quick slide over the hill and the place to go if you are into celebrity spotting or want to practice your Russian skills…
Whilst it is fun to visit, returning to Courchevel 1650 is a bit like going home " altogether more manageable in scale, comfortable, friendly and welcoming. You won"t get lost here. The Courchevel area
Located in Tarentaise valley, in Savoie, Courchevel benefits from good snow conditions and many different facets. There are so many different aspects to Courchevel, because, it is spread over 5 different altitudes, each with different characteristics, different outlooks, and ways of approaching the mountains.
As well as fantastic skiing, there is a wide choice of non-skiing activities and the resort makes constant efforts to ensure that all guests are surprised and delighted. Here the expression "service à la carte" takes on its full meaning, and the insistence on quality is common to all levels of the resort.

Taking Courchevel one level at a time you have:
Saint Bon , the birthplace of Courchevel, at an altitude of 1,100 metres. The history of Courchevel began in Saint Bon, the original village. Le Lac Bleu, the first hotel built in the resort, has been welcoming guests since 1925. While there are no ski lifts starting from the village, there is a free shuttle service running every 20 minutes to the heart of the ski area, and it is possible to return on skis via a red run.
Courchevel 1300 - Le Praz, discreet charm. A genuine traditional mountain village with its houses, chalets and narrow winding streets, Le Praz has retained the charm of true village life 365 days a year. It is the bastion of ski jumping, with the majestic Olympic ski jump dominating the village. As for alpine skiing, there is a direct link to Courchevel 1850.
Courchevel 1550, young at heart Excellent value for money at this truly family-oriented level, with fast direct access to Courchevel 1850 and the entire "Trois Vallées" ski area. The sledging run starting from 1850 and ending in 1550 is a pure joy to share with your kids!
Courchevel 1650 - Moriond, a party atmosphere The first ski-lift was installed in Moriond (the original name of this level of the resort), a very sunny sector located on a balcony set back from the relief. The Courchevel 1650 ski area has a majority of green and blue runs. The combination of these two criteria makes it an area that is particularly popular with families. Conviviality is the keyword and the après-ski scene is much appreciated by skiers young and old.
Courchevel 1850, a true jewel Courchevel 1850 can only be described in superlatives. Stars have been showered on the most select level, which lies at the heart of the resort"s international renown, with luxury establishments very much the haunt of the rich and famous. The links between the different resort levels are very fast: 4 minutes by road between 1650 and 1850 (2.5 km) 5 minutes by gondola lift or chair lift to get to 1850 from 1550, 8 minutes by gondola lift to get to 1850 from Le Praz.
