Chalet Perle de Neige
About the home
Chalet Perle de Neige is a cosy, charming apartment, located on the 'front' of Le Praz overlooking the ski slopes, lift station and mountainside.
The building is entered on the ground floor, directly into a communal hall with a staircase that leads to the first floor, where the chalet itself is entered. Once inside the chalet, there is a small hall off which you will find the living and dining area, the two bedrooms, the shower room and WC, and the kitchen. One bedroom is a twin and the other a double.
The kitchen includes a spacious fridge, a dishwaher and microwave, a 4-ring hob and electric oven, plus the cutlery and crockery to serve 6 people.
The living area has a traditional stone-built log fire, a sizeable sofa (converts to two separate twin sofabeds that can be positioned to create a proper double bed), and unbeatable views across the lake area towards the mountains. There is also a wall-mounted TV and DVD player here, a stereo system with MP3 adaptor, and a further armchair.
Finally, the spacious dining area holds a sturdy hardwood table and 6 chairs... and of course some of the finest views Courchevel can offer you are served up at dinner time!

The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region
Courchevel is rightfully regarded as one of the world's best ski resorts. It is located in France's massive Trois Vallees region, the largest ski area on the globe.
There are in effect four Courchevels that make up the single resort. Courchevel 1850, the highest of the cluster, is now better known for its Russian visitors and sky-high prices than for the superb skiing it offers, while the villages at 1650 and 1550 metres provide more affordable holiday locations and excellent skiing to boot.
Courchevel 1300 or 'Courchevel Le Praz' as it is known by the locals, is the original village that dates from the 17th Century. It is packed with rural French charm, with quaint narrow streets bordered by rustic old-timbered farm buildings (many of which are now chic restaurants or shops).
Dominating the hillside are the ski jumps built for the 1992 Olympics, whilst elsewhere in the village one can find a selection of over 60 shops, 8 restaurants (including the famous Bistro du Praz) and a wealth of cosy bars in which to unwind after a day in the mountains.
