Thank you for your kind Review. I confirm that the Metro/RER station is twelve minutes to the apartment. The bus at the foot of our building goes forth and back to the station, it is one bus stop.
Hopefully we'll have the pleasure to accomodate you again in the future.

My wife and I spent a week in Jacqueline's wonderful apartment in the Le Charras area. The Metro and RER were a 15-20 minute walk; and then it was a quick 10 minute trip to the center of Paris. V… More

Thank you for your kind review. Regarding the distance between the apartment and the Metro/RER station "La Defense Grande Arche" it is only a 10 minute walk. You must have been to the station "l'esplanade de la Defense" which is also easy to reach from the apartment but five to ten more minutes to walk.
It was a pleasure helping you.
Hope to see you again in the future.

"All of Paris on view from this quiet and comfortable vacation rental."

My twenty-two year old son and I stayed here for a week in November. He used the sofa bed in the living room and said it was excellent. The bathroom is clean, and spacious. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the view while preparing meals is spectacular. I kept wishing for floor to ceiling windows!

The location is both a plus and a minus. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the metro line which takes you straight to the heart of Parisian sightseeing. The time on the metro to the Louvre, for example, is about 20+ minutes. The actual neighborhood of La Defense was previously unknown to me; it is the designated business and high-rise location in Paris. The skyscrapers are quite striking, and beautiful in their way. It took a couple of days for us to really know the walk from the metro to the apartment. I found it easy to get confused at first, until we began using the Mercure Hotel as our landmark. The Mercure is essentially right next door, and super convenient when we needed to go to Charles de Gaulle airport. There's usually a cab waiting in front of the hotel, so if you are loaded with baggage, it's a great option. The cost of the ride to the airport was a little less expensive than staying in central Paris, about 35-40 euros. You don't get a sense at all of what Courbevoie was in the past. A few older buildings are still standing (on our route from the apartment to metro) but most have been torn down.

On the ground floor of the apartment building is a shopping area, with everything you need day to day. The boulangerie, Paul, the wine shop, Nicolas, a very large grocery, shoe repair, several restaurants including one Chinese/Vietnamese which we tried for take-out, clothing stores, bank, etc. are in the very same building.

If you are staying here for the first time, and do not know the area, do try to arrive during the day. Use the Mercure as your landmark. We were loaded with luggage from a two month stay including tennis tournaments, and arrived around 8:30-9 in the evening. Our TGV from Avignon was stopped for two hours on the tracks,so we were late getting to the apartment. Thank goodness for a cell-phone; even so, getting into the building was a hassle after traveling all day.

If you are looking for a very quiet (you can open the windows and it is still peaceful!), comfortable, and reasonably priced rental, this one is great. We had no problem at all with our deposit being returned, and our hosts were kind enough to let us stay later on the day of our departure than usual.

"The perfect place to stay in Paris"

I booked this apartment at the last minute, and am so very glad I did. It was perfect! A truly comfortable, quality, chic apartment with the most incredible views over the whole of Paris - amazing by day and absolutely stunning by night with the Eiffel Tower lit up and dominating the sparkling city. Jacqueline was charming and helpful. Everything in the apartment was good quality and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the large windows which ran the length of the apartment made it bright and sunny. On the ground floor there is everything you could need - a shopping mall with a good selection of restaurants and cafes, Carrefour supermarket, bowling alley, swimming pool and ice skating rink. The apartment was in a pleasant, quiet neighbourhood, not overrun with tourists and crowds, and with good transport links. The building is secure, and the surrounding gardens delightful. I can't think of a better place to stay in Paris and will definitely be back.

This apartment is perfect, there is no better choice! Everything is very clean, bright and has magnificent views and a panorama that
can be easily compared with a visit to the Eiffel Tower and Paris. In the evenings we were so tired that we liked to study Paris sitting with a glass of
wine at home ...
We also liked the district of La Defense - pure, noble, elegant and modern.
A shopping center is on the ground floor of the building. Another very nice shopping center in the area is “The Quatre Temps” with shops, cafes, restaurants, the merry-go-round and other games for children. The building's area has ideal transport links: Metro, RER, train, tramway, buses, taxis, allowing quick access to any destination: Versailles, Disneyland, any place in the center of Paris. Also the building has a convenient parking.
Jacqueline, the owner helped us all the time before our trip, answered all our questions, met our requests. Everything went well and exactly as we wanted it to be.
This Beautiful apartment was part of our successful journey to Paris!!!
