A bright apartment overlooking Paris from the 15th floor of a 19-storey residence , with a swimming pool, shops, and leisure facilities in the building, near La Grande Arche de Paris.
This elegant apartment fully refurbished and redecorated in 2009 can accommodate in comfort up to four guests. The sun-filled dining room has a sofa bed that sleeps two, a table to seat four comfortably, a desk, a wardrobe, a TV with English channels, a CD and DVD player, CDs & DVDs library, wireless internet access and a telephone with local, national and international calls free to 100 countries (except to cell phones).
The kitchen is well equipped.
The bedroom has a queen size bed, a chest of drawers and two bedside tables.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower, two sinks, a toilet and plenty of storage room.
La Défense is at the western end of Paris' Historical Axis, which starts at the Louvre museum and takes in the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe.
The métro line 1 & RER line A "la Défense" station go directly into the centre of Paris.
The apartment building is surrounded by a wide forum planted with vegetation and three gardens with fountain, games for children.
The marble lobby has exposed wooden ceilings and large picture windows.
Two concierges and an access code ensure good security.

The Paris/Ile de France region

There is an endless list of sites of interest to visit such as: The Arc de Triomphe, The Champs-Elysées, The Tuileries gardens, Place de la Concorde, Le Marais, one of the oldest part of the city, Place des Vosges, Les Arènes de Lutèce, Montmartre, the Sacré Coeur and the panorama onto Paris, the beautiful jardins du Luxembourg and the Medicis fountain, The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame de Paris, l'île Saint Louis and the delicious ice cream chez Berthillon. Don't miss the Seine River with the Bateaux mouches featuring romantic dinners with candles and music. Paris is rich of Museums as the Louvre, The Museum d'Orsay, Centre Pompidou, The Museum of Picasso, The Museum des Arts Premiers Quai Branly and it walls covered of vegetation, The Museum of Cluny... Courbevoie / La Defense area
The most famous landmark in La Défense is La Grande Arche, a monument dedicated to humanity and humanitarian ideals which was inaugurated in 1989. The roof section is an exhibition centre, and offers impressive views of Paris.
Another must-see is the Centre of New Industries and Technologies (CNIT), an architectural landmark. The district has over 60 hectares of parkland, gardens, squares, shaded plazas, and terraces. Les Quatre Temps, the largest shopping centre in Europe, features over 200 shops. The church of Notre Dame de Pentecôte offers extra calm and culture.
How to get there
Arrive in Paris at any of the major airports: CDG, Orly or Beauvais which is 1.5 hours away of Paris and take a shuttle bus to Porte Maillot in Paris.
The trains from the North of Europe come into Gare du Nord (Eurostar, Thalys, TGV), and from the East into Gare de l'Est (TGV and trains from Germany). Coming up from the South of France you arrive most likely at Gare de Lyon.
Most of the train stations and the airports have car rental services but you need no car while in Paris.

Further details outdoors: The Charras mall is on the ground floor with a supermarket, many restaurants, cafés, and shops. Also on the ground floor of the building is an international newsstand, as well as a boulangerie, a market for fresh products 3 times a week and the municipal swimming pool, featuring a sauna, solarium, volley ball, ice skating and bowling facilities. Three gardens with trees, a fountain and flowers are at the edges of this lively area. The nearby Métro & RER station gives easy access to all of Paris. The Palais des Congres, Maillot, is a few minutes from home. Also nearby is the train direct to Versailles' castle. Taxis station, buses at the foot of the Residence. The apartment is in a lively neighbourhood with sports facilities, a 16-screen cinema, a host of shops, theatres, cultural venues, restaurants, bars, cafés, and indoor and outdoor markets.

-The apartment is beautiful and is a wonderful home away from home. Paris is a great and beautiful city and we were able to see a great deal and visit many sites from Les Gemeaux. You are so close to bus and rail lines that the Louvre, Les Invalides, the Latin Quater and other great areas are easily within reach. - What a magnificent stay in Paris! We rented this apartment for two weeks while I was working nearby. It was a perfect place for our family. My children enjoyed the municipal pool and the nearby playground each morning while I was at work and then it was a quick metro ride to downtown Paris for an afternoon of sightseeing. The apartment was astonishingly clean, and equipped with everything we could need. Noël and Jacqueline were gracious hosts, always available for questions.
