The Lanzarote region

On Lanzarote, the easternmost of the Canary Islands, you can discover all the exoticism of the most amazing volcanic locations, where the hand of man has managed to blend art and nature, creating striking sites of enormous beauty. On many of them, Cesar Manrique, Lanzarote's most universal artist, left his indelible fingerprint converting deserts of lava into true oases of rock, water and tropical vegetation. Proof of this is 'Jameos del Agua', an intricate labyrinth of caves and volcanic tubes, a true paradise for the senses, housing an area for leisure and culture. Here you can enjoy live music and dance in a setting which is a spectacle in itself.
The island, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1993, has become a point of reference for the world in natural architecture, and how tradition and modernity can be blended and united to give the best of themselves.
Getting to know Lanzarote is an unforgettable experience. Take the Ruta de los Volcanes in the Timanfaya National Park and explore every corner of this fabulous island on foot, horseback or by bike along its attractive footpaths. Just as striking is the group of little islands known as the 'Chinijo Archipelago', an exceptional natural park made up of La Graciosa, Alegranza and Montaña Clara, together with Roque del Este and Roque del Oeste.
The island's beaches will captivate you with their crystal-clear waters. Some have sand that is dazzling white while others are of dark volcanic sand; some are calm and relaxing while others feature powerful waves, ideal for such sports as surfing or windsurfing. Beneath the sea surface, the volcanic forms house an interesting and colourful marine fauna, which is greatly appreciated by divers.
On Lanzarote, you will spend days that are unique and intense nights: big-game fishing, days playing golf next to the sea, a unique cuisine and leisure, art and cultural centres.
The Costa Teguise area
Situated on the coast in the central part of the island, Costa Teguise is one of Lanzarote’s main tourist resorts.
It is only a 20 minute drive from Arrecife Airport and is a convenient place from which to explore the islands tourist and cultural attractions, as well as the northern fishing villages of Arrieta and Orzola.
The island’s historic capital of Teguise is a 10 to 15 minute drive away and provides a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Costa Teguise, unless of course you go on a Sunday, when the market is in full swing.
As with the rest of the island of Lanzarote, the Costa Teguise weather is usually very good all year roundAlthough many of the activities revolve around the beach, with windsurfing in particular being very well catered for, there is much else to do in and around Costa Teguise.
The only Waterpark on the Island is Costa Teguise which provides a wide variety of water attractions and fun for all the family.
Costa Teguise is well served for beaches with some fine golden sand. As for the other resorts, the beaches are very clean and well looked after. Many of the hotels in Costa Teguise have direct access to the beach.
Costa Teguise is well situated to explore the many tourist attractions in the North of Lanzarote, such as the Cueva de los Verdes, Jameos del Agua and the Jardin de Cactus.
Windsurfing is a major pastime in Costa Teguise with visitors and residents alike. There are windsurfing schools, shops and equipment rental companies clustered around the beach at Las Cucharas. Most levels of experience are catered for, from Absolute beginners upwards.
Cycling and running are also quite widely enjoyed for the more energetic amongst us, the balmy climate and safe roads making for a very pleasant experience.
Costa Teguise currently has the only golf course on the island so this is where you need to head for eighteen holes in the sun all year round.

I would just like to say thank you for the use for your
villa. We found it a great base for our holiday. The children's
activities were second to none and the people running the budy club
brilliant. We have recommend your villa to friends and family. Over all we had
a great relaxing holiday and sometime soon we would like to use your villa
again. Many thanks
Keith Tyndall.
We stayed during Easter 2010 and had a fantastic time.
The accommodation was fabulous and extremely spacious for our family of 4. It felt like home from home. Clean, tidy and in excellent order. The pool was very clean and right on the doorstep. Excellent for the children, who made lots of friends and never got bored!
Being so close to the beach was a huge bonus, and an ample selection of bars and restaurants to choose from within a short walking distance.
I would also like to thank you for being so helpful during our stay at the villa during the 'Ash Cloud'. You were extremely helpful, and we appreciated being able to stay an extra 9 days.
Since coming back your assistance in providing us documentation in order to help our claim back from Easyjet, is also much appreciated.
We would recommend your villa to friends and family and would be more than happy to be used as a testimonial.
We hope to return to your villa again next year.
