About the home

Luxury Studio apartment situated on a 4* complex with two swimming pools, one for children. Plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas provided. The studio has its own terrace and garden with BBQ area. Only 10 metres to the poolside area.

Bars and restaurants onsite, children's' entertainment available. Heated pool and own private beachfront lagoon on resort. Tennis courts, gym and spa also available onsite.

Las Cucharas beach is 5-10 minutes walk , with shops and restaurants. The resort has it's own private access to the illuminated promenade so you can walk along the sea coast into Costa Teguise in the evening without ever having to cross a road.

One double pulldown bed in living area, it folds away behind mirrored doors.
One double pull out framed sofabed. Storage/wardobe facilities.

Well equipped kitchen with hob and oven, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster.

3 piece bathroom suite comprising of bath with shower, toilet and bidet. Separate double vanity area, with shelf for tolieteries, twin hand basins and a full width mirror with hairdryer.

Linen and towels provided for internal use. The towels with be changed on day 3 or 4 of a 7 day break. Cleaning services available for an extra charge but there are adequate cleaning items located within the studio.

Cot and highchair available for hire.

Utility costs included in rental charges.

The Lanzarote region

The island is close to north africa and its climate and weather is suitable for sun-bathing year round.

Costa Teguise is a purpose built resort, regarded as one of the more exclusive parts of Lanzarote just 20 minutes from the airport. It lies on the south coast, and boasts beautiful natural and man-made beaches, all popular with families.

The Costa Teguise area

Timanfaya National Park provides the opportunity of taking a camel ride through dramatic volcanic terrain of the Fire Mountain.

Cueva de los Verdes, is a network of underground caves with the longest volcanic tunnel in the world. There is a wonderful optical illusion at the end of the hour long guided tour.

Sunday market in Teguise starts at 9am, it bustles with activity and anyone who enjoys a good barter is guaranteed one here!

At just over 600m this is the longest stretch of beach in Costa Teguise.
It is at the heart of the resort, easy to get to and as such has all the facilities you will need.
Playa Las Cucharas is very popular among the local (and visiting) windsurf population.

Shopping - like most purpose built resorts, there is no shortage of shops aimed at the tourist sector, with plenty of Jewellers, Discount Electrical Stores and general gift shops, with most budgets and tastes being catered for.
There are plenty of smaller supermarkets within the resort. These stores generally stock a good range of international produce.

Costa Teguise Night Life
Like most of the resorts on the island, Costa Teguise nightlife could be classed as lively but not rowdy. Restaurants are open until late and there is a good selection of bars, both British and local style, in the resort.

Locally, there are an excellent selection of bars and restaurants, the Aqua Park is a great day out and is situated just outside of Costa Teguise. Horse riding, walking, cycling, wind surfing, surfing, diving and snorkelling are available, and are popular local activities.

Flights to Lanzarote (Arrecife) are available most days of the week from the UK. The most popular flight days are Thursdays and Sundays from the main regional airports.

There are many companies that offer flights to Lanzarote including Thomson Fly, Travel Republic and First Choice.

Transfer to the resort is approx 20 minutes by car. Local taxis are available at the airport and will cost approximately 20 Euros. There are also several major car hire companies based at the airport.

“Excellent Holiday” We (myself, my partner and my son - age 6) have just come back from a 10 day holiday at Palmeras 24, Sands Beach. The apartment is extremely clean and welcoming, fully equipped with everything you could need - Kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, full oven and hob, TV, DVD player, fan etc. The beds were comfortable and both easy to pull out on an evening and put away in the morning. The studio itself is a good size and we had plenty of room. The double wash basins were great and the bath and shower were also good (& very clean). The studio is not situated in the middle of the plaza but this gave it some privacy which a lot of the other apartments lacked. Sands beach resort is great for children with various pools to enjoy and plenty of activities including Buddys club. We often visited the Ma Tai pool bar in the afternoon before going into the town for dinner. This pool is warmer than the other pools which were pretty chilly when we stayed. All the pool areas are very clean and well kept, with cleaners visible daily. The floor can be quite slippy as they do seem to have a "buffing" fetish but the place is spotless. We spent time at the lagoon which was brilliant - they have boxes with buckets and spades and plenty of inflatables for everyone to use which is a great idea. You can also use the canoes free of charge which are good fun! Costa teguise is a lovely, clean place....the beach and square only a short walk away. The beach is beautiful with various water sports going on. We ate out most nights at various restaurants in the town - there really is something for everyone. I can highly recommend the short south tour up to Timanfaya to see the volcanoes and have a ride on a camel. We also visited the Rancho Texas park which was brilliant - the birds of prey show being truly an amazing experience, the parrot shows and sealion shows were equally great! A real must if you have children. All in all, we had an amazing holiday, created great memories and cant wait to go back. Thank you Jo, Jonathan and lewis (age 6 :) )
