Home description
The Resort is ideal for couples and families alike. Villa 10 on Plaza Del Sol is situated on the Sunny side of the pool, with a private terrace. There is a large pool and children's splash pool, with 6 more pools and 5 more Plazas on the complex. The resort has 2 restaurants, the Mai Tai poolside restaurant and bar and La Hacienda which is open in the evenings, Soliel bar, caberet club with evening entertainment, day time children's entertainment and a tennis court. Sands Beach Resort is situated on the beach front and has its own private sea water lagoon. It is a 15 minute stroll along the beach front to the centre of Costa Teguise and only 5 minutes walk to the nearest shopping centre and restaurants. For the more active there is a golf course nearby and Costa Teguise has excellent conditions for wind surfing. Extras such as buggy, cot and high chair hire are available via my caretaker.

The Lanzarote region
This volcanic island has spectacular scenery created by the volcanoes and much of it is covered in lava. The whole island can be explored by car in a couple of days including its many sandy beaches, fishing villages, caves, marinas and holiday resorts. Many of the visitor atractions were created by the islands famous artist, Caesar Manrique, including the cactus garden, natural underground auditorium and his own unusual home. The island enjoys great weather all year round, with average day time temperatures during the winter months in the 70's.
Costa Teguise area
Costa Teguise has a wide variety of restaurants including Spanish, Italian, German, British, Chinese and Indian, supermarkets, jewellers, gift and clothes shops. It is reknowned for its wind surfing facilities, has a good golf course, a water park, sea fishing and great beaches. The summer months get very hot but the almost continual breeze helps keep you cool, its nickname is Breezy Teguisey. Be careful in the sun, it is very easy to burn in these conditions.
How to get there
Fly to Arrecife airport, which is a 15 minute taxi ride to costa teguise. Cheap flights available fom Jet2.com, thomas cook airlines and thompson. Plenty of Taxis at the airport. Good deals on car hire with reservas@autosfamara.com

Further details indoors: The accommodation is all on the ground floor, with 1 step to the bathroom. Open plan living accommodation with foldaway double bed and bed settee, TV,DVD,combined electric heater/cooling fan and dining table and chairs. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Double bedroom. Wash room with 2 basins and separate bathroom with WC. Private terrace looking onto the swimming pool, with table and chairs, parasol and BBQ. The complex is on 3 levels, with steps and ramps between each. Bed linen, bath and hand towels are provided (1 of each per person per week). Please bring your own beach towels. Keys for the safe can be hired from reception.

Conditions
Smoking allowed on the private terrace, but not inside the villa. £25 additional charge if a fifth person is staying. A non refundable deposit of £150/week is payable at the time of booking. Balance due 8 weeks before holiday.

hi ken had a good holiday,apartment was superb, better than expected was most impressive the complex was good and very clean and tidy. thanks barry & sheila lunn. Just thought i would take a minute to drop you an email to thank you and let you know what a fantastic time we had at Sands Beach Resort. The weather was fantastic, the villa perfect, the complex all we could have wanted for our needs and in particular the needs of the children. Having the pool right outside the door and the lagoon just a few feet away was perfect and also meant that the holiday was the most relaxed we have ever had (no packing a huge bag for the day, trying to remember to pack all that would be needed). I would definitely recommend you to others and have already started looking at flights for next year. My parents are trying to arrange a whole family holiday for 10 of us and i will be pushing to come back to Sands Beach Resort, that's if you would have us!!
