About the home

In an ideal location within walking distance to the local amenities and beach. The villa is in a quiet road but access to the town is within easy reach. A well looked after detached villa. Private heated pool. Secluded garden/pool area. A car is not necessary but if you want to tour the island then you can hire a car quite easily. The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote is a small island in the canary islands. There is plenty to see and do. Weather is generally good all year round. Average temperatures are: January 14º to 22º, February 13º to 23º, March 14º to 24º, April15º to 25º, May 16º to 26º, June 18º to 27º, July 19º to 28º, August 20º to 29º, September 20º to 29º, October 19º to 27º, November 17º to 26º and December 15º to 22º. Visiting Lanzarote is an unforgettable experience. The island has a natural beauty. There are plenty of sites to see including:-Puerto Calero, with a beautiful port and peaceful area it marries all the necessary components for turning your holiday into an unforgettable experience.
The Guinate Tropitcal Park in the northern part of Lanzarote, at the foot of Corona Volcano, has 45,000 square metres of gardens. The National Park of Timanfaya is a volcanic field where visitors can discover a great variety of geological phenomena as well as a vast array of some 180 different plant species. Teguise, the capital of Lanzarote until 1852, has become one of the most important tourist and cultural centres on the island, with a market there on Sundays. The Cactus Garden is one of César Manrique's last works. The artist turned an old quarry into an impressive cactus plantation. La Cueva de los Verdes, located in the north of Lanzarote, under the volcano Monte de la Corona, forms part of a spectacular system of underground tunnels (los jameos) 6 km. long,

The Costa Teguise area

Costa Teguise : one of the main resorts in Lanzarote is now a centre for water-sports. Numerous restaurants, the best of which is at the other main beach – Playa Bastian. The prices reflect that of elsewhere in the resort, but the quality and presentation is far superior. The fish and shellfish soup and paellas can be recommended, as well as their excellent range of fish and meats (the T-bone steak went down well with a hungry diner!).

The Playa Bastian beach is quieter and has many areas where shade can be sought, as well as having the usual facilities.Situated on the coast in the central part of the island, Costa Teguise is one of Lanzarote’s main tourist resorts.

It is only a 20 minute drive from Arrecife Airport and is a convenient place from which to explore the islands tourist and cultural attractions, as well as the northern fishing villages of Arrieta and Orzola.

The island’s historic capital of Teguise is a 10 to 15 minute drive away and provides a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Costa Teguise, unless of course you go on a Sunday, when the market is in full swing.

Costa Teguise is a purpose built resort, which started to take shape in the 1970s. This fact should not put you off, as it's development has been carefully managed over the years. It is currently undergoing something of a revival with many of the older developments being refurbished.

Costa Teguise also has a water park for the younger visitors.
