The Lanzarote region
The island of Lanzarote has many places of interest to visit during your stay. Full and half day excursions of the island and places of interest can be booked through travel organisations in the resort. Arrecife is the political and commercial capital of the island with many fine restaurants and bars along the promenade. Castille de San Jose is a large fort at the harbour entrance built in 1779. It is now a museum for Contemporary Art. Towards the north of the Island is the Cactus garden with 1420 different species of cactus. From the cliff top of Mirador Del Rio hundreds of metres above see level the views over the island of La Graciosa are breathtaking. Timanfaya, known as Fire Mountain is a must to visit, with fifty one square kilometres of volcano that has been turned into a National Park, you can also take a camel ride up the mountain. The inland town of Tequise which used to be the Capital, has a Sunday market, where you can pick up souvenirs and gifts.
Costa Teguise / Playa Bastian area
Costa Tequise has many fine beaches with scuba diving, wind surfing and an 18 hole golf course. On Friday night there is a market in Pueblo Marinero where there are many bargains on offer.You will be spoilt for choice for bars and restaurants.

The beach is a two minute walk from the apartment and if you are feeling energetic you can stroll along the coastal path that meanders around Costa Teguise. The area surrounding the complex is well serviced with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, car hire, bank, taxi rank and bus stops.
Costa Teguise lies on the east coast of Lanzarote just north of the capital Arrecife, in a area renowned for its all year round sunshine. There are many facilities nearby including a golf course, Aquapark, bike hire and of course water sports.
