This is a unique, enchanting house, located on the lovely Cucharas beach, with fabulous sea views. The excellent facilities, beaches and restaurants of the resort are within easy walking distance along a sea front promenade.

This is an exceptional, traditional and attractive property set on two floors. On the ground floor you enter from the courtyard into the living room, which has cosy seating and a dining area. There is a twin bedroom on this floor with a shower room. A staircase leads up to a pretty double bedroom, with en-suite shower room. From here there are patio doors leading to a terrace, with stunning views over the beach and the sea. The kitchen leads off the living room and is well equipped for a self-catering holiday. Casita Bouganvilla can accommodate 4 people in the existing bedrooms and a further child under 12 on a fold-a-way bed.

The gate to the property leads into a pretty, secluded, walled and flower filled courtyard with a built-in seating and dining area. It is a lovely, sheltered, place to sit, out of the hot sunshine. In contrast, the upper terrace catches the sun all day and has two sunbeds and a patio table and chairs overlooking the beautiful beach. A wonderful place for sunbathing, watching the sunset, sailboats and windsurfers. Due to the railings on the roof terrace, small children must be supervised at all times.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote is the most popular all year-round villa holiday destination in the Canary Islands. Only 100 kilometres from the coast of Africa, Lanzarote has a year-round warm climate and a wonderful selection of extraordinary private holiday villas. Less than four hours flying time from most European cities, Lanzarote offers superb beaches, facilities and lots of activities for the entire family. Throughout the island, overlooking beaches, in villages and resorts there is an excellent variety of local and international cuisine, much specialising in its wealth of local fish. The island’s small size and reasonable roads, coupled with inexpensive car hire, makes self-drive an attractive option giving visitors complete freedom to tour the island at their leisure. Two sophisticated world class marinas attract the international yachting fraternity and offer superb sea excursions, game fishing and boat charters. Geographically part of North Africa, but benefiting from the cooling effect of the surrounding Atlantic and culturally as well as politically part of Spain, Lanzarote is an established, favourite, year round villa holiday destination, with many families returning year after year and through the generations.

The Costa Teguise area

Casita Bouganvilla is located on a small road that leads directly onto Las Cucharas beach and provides the ideal setting for those wanting close proximity to all the resorts amenities. There are restaurants and bars along the beach front and shops and supermarkets nearby. You can walk along the sea front, into the resort centre or just stay and enjoy the beach. As well as fabulous swimming, the beach is famous for being an excellent windsurfing centre and there is a windsurf school on the beach.

The holiday resort of Costa Teguise, which is located on the western coast of the island is quieter and more residential than the two principal resorts on the island, Costa Teguise is ideal for guests looking for a relaxing holiday and has many good quality, self-catering villas. It has several beautiful, golden beaches with beach front cafes, bars and a wide choice of restaurants. The largest beach is Playa Las Cucharas, where there is also a windsurfing academy for professionals and beginners.

The resort has some excellent attractions. It is home to the largest aquarium in the Canary Islands, with tropical marine beds and an underwater tunnel to view small sharks. A twice weekly artisan market in the Pueblo Marinero is good for souvenir shopping or an evening stroll, followed by a drink in one of the bars. On the edge of the resort, a large water park provides children and adults alike, with a fun filled day. Nearby is the lovely, palm rimmed, 18-hole golf course with panoramic sea views, a club house, a pro shop and equipment hire for holiday villa guests.

Costa Teguise is close to a wealth of interesting locations and fabulous, un-spoilt beaches. A ten minute drive from the resort takes you to Teguise, the magnificent, ancient, former capital of the island. This lovely, tranquil town with it’s narrow, winding, cobbled streets and fabulous architecture, comes to life every Sunday when it hosts the largest market on the island. The route north of Costa Teguise takes you the delightful, traditional, fishing villages of Arrieta and Punta de Mujeres, with sea front fish restaurants. The attractive Arrieta beach is primarily used by locals, it has a child’s play area and a beach bar serving delicious, Spanish tapas and paella. North of these villages are several, breathtakingly, beautiful, white sand beaches, with glistening, aquamarine waters. Nearby is Los Jameos del Agua, said to be Cesar Manrique’s most splendid work. Connecting caves and underground grottos house a lake with thousands of tiny, rare albino crabs, a spectacular, underground, concert auditorium, a beautiful garden and a restaurant. The beautiful old village of Haria, set in the "valley of the 1000 palms" is worth a visit. On the northern tip of the island is the fishing village of Orzola, from where there is a ferry to the tiny, un-spoilt, neighbouring island of Graciosa. This can be viewed from the fabulous, 479 metre high, Cesar Manrique designed, look-out point Mirador del Rio.
