Built in traditional Sardinian style, the apartment is set in quiet location in pretty gardens, and has a large covered fully terrace with amazing uninterrupted views. Use of communal pool (June - September). Many beaches close by, the nearest is only a 10 minute walk. The sea is crystal clear, all the beaches have clean white sand.

The apartment is well located for exploring the interior of the island, the mountains and the many archaeological remains. Olbia is a lively city with many facilities, whilst the glamour of the Costa Smeralda and the artist village of San Panteleo is only a 20 minute drive away. Corsica can be reached by ferry from Golfo Aranci 10 mins drive away. Available locally trekking, horseback riding, tennis, beach volley ball, sub-aqua, windsurfing and kite sailing. Boat hire available in local marinas. New for 2008 exclusive use of a 41ft Catamaran, with child friendly and English speaking skipper at affordable rates. Longer charters also available at special rates.

The Sardinia region

Sardinia is famous for its 'agro turismo's', These are basically farms run by locals who then open their kitchens to paying customers and serve their own home grown produce, prepared and cooked on the premises - nothing is bought in - the wine is produced by them, the bread, meat, fruit & vegetables - everything on your table will be organic. These are easy to find, all roads have little hand written signs which direct you to them.

Cruises round the island to the Maddalena Archipelago & Corsica are also a must. Visit the famous Nuraghi and pass through picturesque villages all constructed with local stone. Sassari is also another stop not to be missed, the Piazza d'Italia by night is amazing! Sardinia is also famous for its many and amazing rock formations.

Costa Smeralda / Olbia area

Pittulongu has various good quality restaurants and bars, several right on the beach, and within walking distance. There is also a well stocked small supermarket at the bottom of the road. Larger supermarkets can be found in Olbia, along with a twice weekly street market, and many shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs.

In August there is also a lively night market in the main street. Olbia also has several large banks and a Hospital. There is a large swimming pool complex 8km away with three Olympic size swimming pools, a health spa and tennis complex - open all year.

How to get there

Olbia airport is a 10 mins drive away, and Alghero 1½ hour drive. Olbia is also a sea port, ferries take you to various major sea ports on mainland Italy. Car hire is recommended to be able to explore the island and different beaches.
Flights available from most UK regional airports.

Rome is only 20 minutes by plane from Olbia airport.

Distances:
Olbia 5 mins drive, Porto Rotondo 10 mins, Porto Cervo and it's beaches 20 mins. La Maddalena archipelago 45 min drive away, accessible from Palau. Ferries run frequently from Golfo Aranci and Santa Teresa to Corsica.

CANCELLATION PENALTY:
Those who withdraw from the contract before their departure will be charged (in addition to earnest money and practical management costs) as follows:
· 10% of the whole sum, until 30 calendar days before departure
· 30% of the whole sum from 29 to 18 calendar days before departure
· 50% of the whole sum from 17 to 10 calendar days before departure
· 75% of the whole sum from 9 to 3 calendar days before departure
· 100% of the whole sum after such terms.
