Home description
The residential village L'Ea di Lavru is camouflaged among a luxuriant vegetation. It looks out over Porto San Paolo to the enchanting island of Tavolara, which seems to be floating between sky ad sea. The village was entirely made by sardinian musky stones and it is located only 10 km south of Olbia harbour and airport. It is strategically located on a slope, which allows the enjoyment of the pleasant local breezes, and it overlooks the gulf of Porto San Paolo: a spectacular view of the sea. The beautiful 1-2 & 3 room apartments feature terraces or verandas where you can lunch and dine surrounded by gorgeous plants and flowers.

The Sardinia region
There must be a different gravitational pull here in this land, Europe's old place, which in ancient times, in the midst of a void, already knew the warmth of the sun, the coolness of the moon, the wind, the rain, the salt. Perhaps this is the reason for its geological intensity, echoing in every cavern. This long exposure to history, these very deep routes (just try pulling up the wild cane growing along the tousled side of a road!), makes Sardinia glow with a magnetic light, even at night, a phosphorescent glow.
Costa Smeralda / Porto San Paolo area
Porto San Paolo is a small town, 10 km south of Olbia. There are all the facilities you may need (supermarket s and shops, bank, bar and restaurants). Along the coast there are the most beautiful beaches.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Olbia which is at 10 kms. The most of my guests land in Alghero and then drive for a couple of hours through an easy country road to reach L'Ea d Lavru village. Cheap flights available from Ryan Air and Easyjet. Car hire available with special fares.

Further details indoors: An enchanting image of well-balanced forms is given by the huge hand-chiselled granite stones surrounding doors and windows, whose colour perfectly integrates with the stone areas of the fronts. The outdoor paths resemble those of old medieval villages, although they have a modern touch, with the insertion of natural materials like large golden paving-stones and hand-puttied river stones, fired bricks and granite stones to form old romantic paths. To cover the architectural work the owner chose antique bent tiles and the terraces have mosaic-patterned floors with enamel decorations and natural fired bricks. The predominant shapes are square or round to try and blend the modern shape of the village with the round ancient shapes of nuraghic villages. It is a delightful place combining old Sardinian architectural traditions with the Provencal past, yet it offers all conveniences requested by the most demanding customers.
Further details outdoors: This area was personally chosen by the owner for the fascinating scenery and the wonderful beaches in the surroundings, each one different from the other: rocky bays, sandy creeks and the Tahiti beach with white and pink sand and tropical colours. Along the cast you can spot several interesting restaurants and country inns where you can have typical Sardinian meals and any kind of italian food. Around the area there are also all the facilities you might look for. You can choose among horse rides, cross-country driving, diving, sailing for small and big groups, and lots more.

Guestbook
"...the apartment was just wonderful and so comfortable and the village itself was so peaceful and quiet. The whole place was just beautiful..." "...we were impressed with the design of the 'village' and the way that the apartments were set into the hill on different levels. The grounds were full of lovely flowers too..."
"...we spent many hours just walking around the beaches which were really stunning..."
"...even without any tourist guide or travel book or stuff like that you would find your way around Sardinia just perfectly only because Flavio really takes care of you..."
"...you provided such a comprehensive list of things to do and helped us by booking activities that without your help we wouldn't have had half so much fun..."
"...we really felt as though we were staying as the guest of friends, rather than in the apartment of some distant property owner..."
