About the home

Built in traditional Sardinian style, the apartment is set in a quiet location with pretty gardens and a large fully covered terrace with amazing panoramic views. Use of common pool (June - September). Many beaches are very close, the nearest one is only a 10 minute walk. The sea is crystal clear, all the beaches have clean white sand.

The apartment is an ideal placing to explore the interior of the island, with mountains and many archaeological remains. Olbia is a lively city with many facilities, while the Costa Smeralda with its glamour and the artistic village of San Panteleo are only 20 minutes far away. Corsica may be reached by ferry from Golfo Aranci (10 mins drive away).

Local trekking, horseback riding, tennis, beach volley, diving, windsurfing and kite sailing are available. Boat hire available in local marinas.

CANCELLATION PENALTY:
Those who withdraw from the contract before their departure will be charged (in addition to earnest money and practical management costs) as follows:
· 10% of the whole sum, until 30 calendar days before departure
· 30% of the whole sum from 29 to 18 calendar days before departure
· 50% of the whole sum from 17 to 10 calendar days before departure
· 75% of the whole sum from 9 to 3 calendar days before departure
· 100% of the whole sum after such terms.

The Sardinia region

Sardinia is famous for its 'agriturismi', These are basically farms, run by locals opening their kitchens to customers and serving their own home-grown products, prepared and cooked on the premises - nothing is bought in - wine is self-produced, and bread, meat, fruit & vegetables - everything on your table will be organic only. "Agriturismi" are easy to find, all roads have little hand written signs guiding you.

Cruises to the Maddalena Archipelago & Corsica are also a must. Please take a visit the famous Nuraghi, going through picturesque villages built in local stone. You have to visit Sassari, too: its Piazza d'Italia by night is amazing! Sardinia is also famous for its many and amazing rock blocks.

The Costa Smeralda-Porto Rotondo / Pittulongu area

Pittulongu has various good restaurants and bars, many of them right on the beach or in walking distance. There is also a well stocked small supermarket at the bottom of the road. Larger supermarkets are in Olbia, along with a street market (twice a week) and many shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs.

In August there is also a lively night market along the main street. Olbia also has several important banks and a hospital. There is a large swimming pool complex, 8km away from the city, with three Olympic size swimming pools, a beauty centre and a tennis complex - all year round.

Olbia airport is at 10 mins drive away, and Alghero 1½ hour drive. Olbia is also a sea port, with ferries joining Sardinia to several major sea ports on mainland Italy. Car hire is recommended in order to explore the island and its many beautiful beaches.
Flights available from most UK regional airports.

Rome is only 20 minutes by plane from Olbia airport.

Distances:
Olbia 5 mins drive, Porto Rotondo 10 mins, Porto Cervo and its beaches 20 mins. La Maddalena archipelago 45 min drive away, accessible from Palau. Ferries to Corsica run frequently from Golfo Aranci and Santa Teresa.

“More than we hoped for!” We had never been to Sardinia, and picked this condo by chance. We were pleasantly surprised at the great location (just up the street from the beach), the neighborhood (cute restaurants and friendly people) and th condo. Perfect size for a family of 4. Clean, modern and a beautiful pool to boot! We loved it! Marco and staff were fantastic and so helpful.
