Apartment is brand new completed 2008 as addition to well established residence. Complete freedom to self cater or dine out in residence or nearby (car essential) or mix and match as you please. Supplement of £80 for gas/water/elec/cleaning and fresh linen and towels. Residence has a children's club from 4 years to 11 years and from 11 years to 16 years at extra cost payable on-site.
Within easy reach of historic town of Castelsardo as well as all resorts along beautiful Costa Paradiso. Day trips include Santa Teresa (ferry to Corsica), La Maddalena Isles (Garibaldi's house and tomb) or Costa Smeralda. Close by there is the long sandy beach at Badesi, the charming port town and beach at Isola Rossa and many other inlets along the Costa Paradiso.
The residence's outstanding feature is the stupendous coastline. The cleanliness of the sea here means superb swimming diving and watersports

The Sardinia region
Sardinia (Sardegna in Italian) is the largest island in the Mediterranean but perhaps one of the least known. It is part of Italy but in reality the locals refer to Italy as "the continent" and are certainly proud to be different.
With its wild beauty, crystal clear waters, expansive beaches, fabulous climate and fragrant air it is a favourite holiday destination for the Italians.
And the locals do everything possible to retain all it's charm. With it's proximity to Africa it enjoys a fabulous year round sunny climate.
Costa Paradiso / Calarossa area
The Calarossa residence lies in an unspoilt natural environment on the island's NW coast, just a few km from the charming port town of Isola Rossa.
The gardens of Calarossa won the Homes Overseas Gold Award for Best Landscape Design and with it's small squares and stone archways it blends perfectly with the natural surroundings. Calarossa lies at the Southern end of Costa Paradiso and there are many charming bays nearby.
Santa Teresa Gallura is less than 40 km away whilst Costa Smeralda is about an hours drive.
How to get there
Costa Paradiso is located on Sardinia's spectacular North Western coastline and Calarossa residence itself is at the Southern end of the Costa Paradiso, situated on a headland called "Li Canneddi". The small town of Isola Rossa is around 2KM away. The larger hilltop town of Trinita D'Agultu is about 4 km and has chemists doctors ATM petrol station and all local shops and facilities.
Sardinia is the largest island in the Mediterranean, and is part of Italy. Sardinia is serviced from the UK and Ireland by both Ryanair to Alghero (from London Stanstead, Liverpool and Dublin) and by Easyjet to Olbia (London Gatwick, Bristol, seasonal service). Both airports are approximately an hours drive away - Alghero Fertilia Airport 100km and Olbia 80 km. You can also arrive by car ferry from France and Italy.
A car is essential to get the most from your stay in Sardinia. Ryanair have links with Hertz and Easyjet with Europcar. Go to www.ryanair.com or www.easyjet.com or for domestic Italian flights try www.flyairone.it (English version available). Ryanair now use Alghero as a hub and have flights from Alghero to a large number of European destinations, including several on the Italian mainland. You can easily have a few days in Rome and a few days at Calarossa!

Further details indoors: The apartment is brand new finished 2008 as an addition to an already well-established residence. The interiors are cheery and light, with a comfortable bed and coffee table, dining table and chairs and small kitchenette. You have complete freedom to self-cater or make use of the on-site facilities including Bar Pizzeria and Restaurant. Or mix and match as you choose. The bright comfortable apartment is just over 42 sq m total and in addition has a 25 sq m terrace with lovely views over the gardens and central pool. There is 1 bathroom with shower bidet washbasin and WC. Bedrooms proper are 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedded room, with the bathroom in between. All rooms lead off the living room. We also have an adjoining studio apartment (Home No 89578 on www.holidaylettings.co.uk) sleeps 2 to 4 with 1 double and 1 sofabed, as well as a baby cot. This also has bathroom and kitchenette. The studio is ideal for a couple or a young family and has a small balcony with a seaview. The apartment and studio can be rented separately or together.
Further details outdoors: The residence has 3 swimming pools, inc 1 for kids. These are unheated fresh water pools. There is also a 5 - a side football pitch and 2 tennis courts. Calarossa has all beach activities you can imagine inc kayaks canoes diving sub aqua Apartment has a substantial terrace (25 sq m) suitable for al fresco dining
Further details
£250 deposit against any breakages or damage, which will be refunded after your departure. We also offer 10% discount for full payment with booking.
Any bank charges incurred by the proprietors in refernce to currency exchange, or Paypal expenses, will be deducted from deposit. We are happy to accept credit cards (not Diners) and there is no surchage for paying by credit card.
If deposit is paid by credit card we will refund it back to the same card days after departure, assuming no damages.
Conditions
As we are non smokers we prefer to have a "no smoking" rule. We ask for £250 security deposit against breakages or damage. We have a flexible changeover day but ask that you vacate by 10 a.m. as we clean on changeover day and need a small "window" before the next guests arrive.
