About the home

Great location of this one bedroom apartment makes it ideal for a family holiday. 3 swimming pools including one for the little ones plus plenty to do to keep them occupied. Most units have a pool view and there is a pool bar and restaurant on site.

This complex is situated in the heart of Costa del Silencio within walking distance of an abundance of pubs, clubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands; formed around the very impressive mount Tiede the island has seen massive changes over the past 30 years. The south of the island has established itself as the holiday hotspot, largely due to the fact that it boasts year-round sunshine. The larger resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are only a 10 minute ride from Alondras and there is a daily bus service located 5 minutes walk from the complex.

The capital of Santa Cruz and Puerto de las Cruz are situated in the north of the island are both worth a visit. The far north east is home to the breathtaking views of the Taganana hills whilst on the North West you will find Masca and the most wonderful canarian town of Garachico. No trip to Tenerife is complete without a trip up to the mountain, ride the cable car up to the peak or just relax in the purpose built restaurant at its base.

You will find numerous attractions, certainly too many to mention but loro parue, the Aqua park and coming soon the Siam theme park are all great places to visit with the kids. Tenerife has some wonderful beaches, the best by far can be found in Los Cristianos and is called las vistas beach, a must for you sun/sea worshippers.

The Costa del Silencio / Alondras Park area

Costa del Silencio is located on the sunny sout coast of Tenerife, just a 15 minute drive from the Reina Sofia airport. The island offers all year round sunshine with a sub tropical climate with temperatures generally ranging from between 25 - 30 degrees between summer and winter.

The resort nestles between the golfing haven of Amarilla Golf and the bustly resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas (about a 15 minute drive away). There is a small fishing village within a 15 minute walk, with a frontline row of bars and restaurants and an early morning fish market (lunch or dinner straight out of the sea!). Fantastic sunsets can be seen from here.

There is also a small shopping centre with numerous coffee bars, shops and a park. Closer to are a number of restaurants and shops within a 5 to 10 minute walk. Or if you don't fancy that why not pop next door to 'Gavines' for a tasty ghoulash or fish dish?

Tenerife is often described as an Island of contrasts - as the south is hot and sunny and yet the north offers beautiful scenery, villages and places of interest to visit.
