About the home

Bargain at £260 per week for such a quality place. Enjoy your al fresco dining and watch the dolphins swim past from the balcony as you watch the sun rise and shine continuously all day every day. It's a good sunny spot (all year round) on the southern most tip of Tenerife and just a few metres from the coastline. Balcon del Mar has easy access to all amenities, including the local supermarkets and restaurants and bars for eating out all within walking distance. Take the kids to the brand new and world famous water park 'Siam Park' and have a great day out in the never ending sunshine,

The apartment comprises a bedroom with a double bed and ample storage facilities. Further sleeping facilities are provided within the lounge area on the bed settee (maximum persons: 4). Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning and unbeatable sea views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. The apartment is well kitted out with american style kitchen, fridge, microwave, oven, television, CD player, DVD player and washing machine. There is even a shopping trolley - every need is catered for!

Ideal for couples just wanting to relax or families with small children (in a secure complex with security guards), with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay, why not take a trip up Mount Teide in the cable car and view the fantastic scenery (the highest mountain not just in the Canaries but the whole of Spain) or visit the capital Santa Cruz or the old port 'Puerto de la Cruz' and take the kids to Siam Park and or Loro Parc? Alternatively relax and read your book, do the crossword or enjoy your favourite soaps on the English TV channels. You can visit the local fishing village of Las Gallettes and watch the beautiful sunset as you drink your glass of wine and enjoy your evening meal.

Beautiful golden sandy beaches, water sports, entertainment and amusement parks are available in the nearby main resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas which can be easily reached by a short cheap bus ride or taxi.

Ideally this will suit couples seeking a relaxing, therapeutic, get away from it all, holiday. In addition to the double bed in the bedroom there is also a double bed settee, maximum occupancy is therefore four people.

Due to the secure complex this is a very safe place to be with small children

The Tenerife region

Costa del Silencio (literally the 'Coast of Silence') is located on the sunny sout coast of Tenerife, just a 15 minute drive from the Reina Sofia airport. The island offers all year round sunshine with a sub tropical climate with temperatures generally ranging from between 25 - 30 degrees between summer and winter. The resort nestles between the golfing haven of Amarilla Golf and the bustly resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas (about a 15 minute drive away). There is a small fishing village within a 15 minute walk, with a frontline row of bars and restaurants and an early morning fish market (lunch or dinner straight out of the sea!). Diving trips from here! Fantastic sunsets can be seen from here. There is also a small shopping centre with numerous coffee bars, shops and a park. Closer to are a number of restaurants and shops within a 5 to 10 minute walk. Or if you don't fancy that why not pop next door to 'Gavines' for a tasty ghoulash or fish dish?

Tenerife is often described as an Island of contrasts - as the south is hot and sunny and yet the north offers beautiful scenery, villages and places of interest to visit. Meaning the 'Coast of Silence', this quiet resort could be light years from its neighbour Playa de las Americas. Here, most days are spent lazing in the sunshine - ideal for winding down and perfecting your tan.

When you're feeling active, the village is filled with shops and welcoming restaurants serving international cuisine together with numerous music bars offering fun nights out. You'll also find tempting seafront cafes where you can watch the surfers from the rocks and close by, a small stony beach and rocky headlands ideal for sunbathing.

Costa del Silencio is one of the warmest resorts on the island because of its location. It is rain free for the majority of the year with the best weather in August. The temperature rarely falls below 20C in the winter and in the summer it is around 30C. This quiet resort could be light years from its neighbour Playa de las Americas.

Flights to Tenerife Sur (South) - Reina Sofia Airport (TFS). Flights from the majority of UK airports with Easyjet/Monarch/JET2/Excel/Ryanair/ First Choice/ Globespan/ Thomson/ Thomas Cook etc (or Google search for Tenerife cheap flights). Collect hire car (Record/ Autoreisen)/Taxi/Bus from airport. 13km distance from airport (about 8 miles). Car hire is relatively cheap compared to the UK and petrol about 2/3rds of the price. Full detailed directions from the southern airport wil be emailed in comprehensive information pack once booking has been agreed and confirmed.

“Wonderful spacious apartment with a Fantastic View” What a brilliant apartment in a nice quiet location, a short drive away from the main tourist areas like Los Christianos and Play de Las Americas. The views off the balcony are stunning, if you go out in the morning you can watch the sun rise from behind Gran Canaria, and watch small fishing boats go by while you catch the sun as the balcony was in the sun most of the day. The Apartment its self was very roomy and very well looked after, and with all the appliances and cooking utensils you would need for a holiday, the bed was nice and comfy too. The complex its self has a really nice pool area in the centre which is 1.45m deep at its deepest point, and includes a shallow pool for young children. Overall the place is fantastic and just to prove how great it is we have already booked up 2 weeks next year!

“Ideal tranquil setting” We have had a wonderful stay. Apartment is light, bright and airy with views to die for, in a tranquil setting. Situated in close proximity to local shops, restaurants and bars (It`s worth going to Totem Restaurant for a lovely meal, good prices). Fantastic place if you`re looking for a little escape from hustle and bustle of the city. Renting a car is a good idea if you want to do some exploring - Loro Park, Los Gigantes, El Teide are a must see! We'll definitely recommend it to friends and family.

“Realxing stay, quiet area, great view” Costa del Silencio is a quiet area though has plenty to offer in terms of restaurants, pubs, cafe's etc. Don't expect to see night clubs or discos. The Apartment is ideally situated... more Response: Thanks very much for this positive review. We agree it is a lovely quiet area with fabulous views over looking the Atlantic ocean. We 'relax' out here four times a year.
