Residencial Playa Paraiso is a brand new apartment complex built to very high standards situated on an elevated position just outside the tranquil town of Costa Calma in the south of Fuerteventura. Our apartment is on the top floor of this lovely development with spectacular, panoramic views over the town, Atlantic Ocean and mountains in the distance. Access to the glorious white sands of Sotavento de Jandia, one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in Europe (22 miles long; from Costa Calma to Morro Jable), takes approximately 10 minutes by foot.
Our apartment overlooks the turquoise waters of Playa Esmeralda; perfect for sunbathing and Playa La Barca; a world renowned kiteboarding and windsurfing beach where, 3 weeks of the year, during July and August, rounds of the PWA windsurfing and PKRA kiteboarding championships are held.
With all-year-round sunshine and stunning beaches it's a perfect location for a relaxing family break or all-action watersports holiday.

The Fuerteventura region
Fuerteventura is the least well-known of the 4 major Canary Islands but has the most beaches, over 150 in total. The most spectacular of these beaches, Sotavento de Jandia, being situated in the south of the island starting in Costa Calma. Costa Calma town is a palmtree-lined, tranquil holiday resort situated 80kms south of the airport in Fuerteventura. With its all-year-round sunshine, glorious white sandy beaches and crystal clear Atlantic waters it is a beautiful place to spend a few relaxing weeks away from the hustle and bustle of life. It has numerous 4* & 5* hotels which welcome outside guests, a number of very good restaurants and bars and several nightclubs. 15 minutes drive further south in Jandia you'll find lots of shops, more bars and restaurants and a 9-hole golf course.
The island is dotted with interesting & historic places to visit including: Villa Winter at Cofete which is said to have Nazi war connections and the windmills in Antigua and, the former island capital, Betancuria.
Costa Calma area
The main activity in the area, apart from relaxing, is watersports, specifically Windsurfing & Kiteboarding with Rene Egli on Playa La Barca & Risco Del Paso beaches. We can arrange lessons & equipment hire with Rene-Egli and offer a small discount on their rates.
Other activities within a short car or bus ride include: Oasis Park Zoo & Botantical Gardens, Golf, Surfing, Diving, Sea Fishing, Quad Biking, Naturism, Off-Roading, Hiking, Beach-running, Shopping, Eating Out, Bars, Internet Cafe / WiFi & Astronomy/Star-Gazing.
How to get there
Fly from UK to Fuerteventura from as little as £80 return. Most tour operators offer flight only options including: First Choice, Thomas Cook, Thomson & XL. The most common days for flights from the UK are Wednesday & Saturday, although Thomson fly Tuesday & Friday (seasonal). Ryanair fly direct from Liverpool, Dublin, Shannon & Cork (check seasonal timetables) & Barcelona (Girona). Easyjet fly from Madrid. Ferries sail from Lanzarote to Corralejo & Gran Canaria to Morro Jable (Jandia) We advise all guests hire a car to get around, the most reasonably priced car hire firms we have found are: www.autoreisin.com & www.cabreramedina.com.

Bedroom 2: Double futon bunk bed with single bunk above and fitted wardrobes. Open-plan Lounge: with corner sofabed (sleeps 2 adults comfortably), leather easy chair, dining table & 4 chairs and huge picture window with stunning views!! Audio / Visual: Flatscreen TV, Satellite, DVD, Gamestation (PS2), CD with mini speaker system. Kitchen: Fully-equipped with breakfast bar, fridge, cooker, hob, microwave, cutlery & crockery for 6 people. Bathroom: with shower, WC & double washbasin. Balcony: with table & 4 chairs. Roof Terraces: access to 2 roof terraces, one enormous terrace adjacent to the apartment and one, more private terrace, above the apartment. Lift: glass lift with stunning views.
Further details outdoors: Swimming Pool: is communal and a good size, it has a constant depth of approx. 1.25 metres. It is unheated so very cool in the winter months. There are plenty of sunloungers and parasols available and has a toilet and shower facilities close by. Internal Gardens: bedded in and growing well, other planted areas are relatively new and will take longer to reach their full potential. Parking: parking spaces are on a first come / first serve basis

Conditions
"Booking Deposit": to secure the property a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost is due immediately, final balance is due within 6 weeks of departure. "Damages Deposit": to protect us against damage, breakages or theft a deposit cheque of £150 is required at the same time as the final balance is paid. This will be repaid within 2 weeks of your return assuming all is well with the apartment.
