Home description

Our apartment is located in Costa Calma and there are plenty of things to see and do, all within a short distance, including golf courses, zoo, go-karting and numerous marine excursions including fishing, diving and the sub-cat submarine experience, taking you some 100 feet under the sea.

If you fancy something a bit more active the island offers great surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing and sailing to name but a few. However, if you just want to take it easy then there are endless miles of white sandy beaches, which make the perfect escape from everyday manic life back here in the UK.

Even in the peak season there should always be a relatively secluded spot for yourself.

The Fuerteventura region

The island of Fuerteventura lies just off the coast of Africa (near the border of Morocco and Western Sahara). It enjoys a near perfect climate with average monthly temperatures ranging from 17 degrees in January to 25 degrees in August.

Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands after Tenerife with a population of approximately 90,000.

Costa Calma area

There are lots of things to see and do, all within a short distance of our apartment.

Costa Calma beach is approximately 5 minutes walk from the apartment. It is cleaned daily and is plenty long enough for early morning joggers to have a decent workout on it. There is plenty to do on the beach including sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling, wind surfing, hiring of jet skis and banana boat.

Costa Calma beach has also received the prestigious Blue Flag Award which reiterates the quality, cleanliness and beauty of this location

Golf is a very popular sport on Fuerteventura where there is an excellent course in Caleta De Fuste which hosted the Spanish Open in 2004. Despite Fuerteventura's almost constant sunshine and little rain, the course has beautiful greens. The course also boasts a five star club house, pro shop, a resident PGA Professional, a driving range, chipping area, practice bunker and putting green.

In addition there is a further course in Morro Jable which is due to open in September 2007 and is approximately a 15 minute drive away. There are a variety of bars, restaurants and hotels situated throughout Costa Calma to be enjoyed. However, for those seeking more life, this can be found in the next main resort south of Costa Calma in Morro Jable whcih is a 15 minute drive away.

There are two principle theme park attractions in Fuerteventura, the water park in Corrlaejo (to the north of the island) and the Oasis Park Zoo in La Lajita (near Costa Calma). The Oasis Park is only a 10 minute drive from the apartment and comprises of both a Zoo and Botanical Gardens. There is also a substantial 1500m Go-Karting track for children and adults to enjoy which is approximately 20 minute drive from our apartment.

There are direct flights from most UK airports.

We can arrange transfers from the airport to the apartment if required.

Further details indoors:
One sofa is a sofa bed, therefore we can accommodate a larger family.

Large flat screen television and satellite system providing over 100 English speaking TV and radio stations. There are black out blinds as well as fashionable cutains to both bedrooms and lounge windows thus helping to keep the apartment cool during the day and aid a good night's sleep as well.

We have installed Air Conditioning in the apartment which is an absolute must particularly during the summer months. There is also a heating facility should this be necessary thus ensuring all year round comfort.

Further details outdoors:
Large balcony area including a table and six chairs which are very comfortable for using both when relaxing during the day or for dining purposes.

We also provide three reclining deck chairs which can be used on the balcony, around the pool area or at the beach.

Water purification facility which provides drinkable water on-tap. This saves time, effort and expense in endless trips to the supermarket buying bottled water.

The beaches in southern Fuerteventura are absolutely spectacular (see photos) and are only short distance from our apartment.

Conditions

20% of rental fee to secure booking and balance due six weeks prior to departure.

House Keeper fee of 60 Euros payable on arrival
