About the home

Our one bedroomed apartment is a top floor apartment on the 2nd floor in the same brand new beachfront complex like our studio home, built according to the highest standards. From the large private balcony opens an amazing panoramic view over the turquoise blue Atlantic Ocean, the endless white sanded beaches and the mountains behind. The sunrise from the ocean is absolutely unforgettable. Listening to the ocean or enjoying the sunshine in a suntrap at the outdoor swimming pool can give a complete relaxation.

The spectacular white sanded beach of Costa Calma is only 50 metres away. The shopping centre and supermarkets are in 10 minutes walking distance. There are various restaurants and bars around open until late hours. It is ideal for couples who need privacy and relaxation.

In the one bedroomed apartment all the furniture is new and designed at high standard. The living area has a comfortable sofa that invites you to relax and enjoy directly the wonderful ocean views, or watch your favoruite channel on the flat screen 32' TV. We have broadband high speed internet connection (ADSL) installed in the apartment. Free WIFI. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a bar desk with 2 bar chairs with ajustable levels. You can decide to eat there or outside in the terrace where you can find the dining area with 4 chairs and table. The terrace is partly covered, suitable for outside dining. The bedroom has an extra comfortable double bed. Also there is a smaller room behind with a built in wardrobe, and sofa bed. The bathroom has a normal sized (60x90 cm) shower.Towels and linens are provided, but please use your own beach towels at the beach or pool area.The apartment has a very good ventillation, has mosquito screens, and gets a lot of sunshine and light all through the day.

The apartment provides a large partly covered balcony with 4 chairs and outdoor cristal dinning table, suitable for outside dining. The complex has an unheated swimming pool, with arteficial waterfall, surrounded by sunbeds free to use. The tennis court of the complex is also free of charge. There are parking places at both entrances of the complex.

Amazing ocean views sitting on the sofa

The Fuerteventura region

The Canary Islands consist of 7 islands in the Atlantic Ocean, Fuerteventura is the second biggest from them after Tenerife, and lies only 100 kms distance from the west coast of Africa, West -Sahara. Among the islands Fuerteventura obviously provides the most wonderful beaches of white sands and cristal clear, turqouise coloured water. Just like the Caribian.

There are more than 150 named beaches around the island, most of them well known among the water sport lovers. The most famous is called Sotavento de Jandia where the world championship of kite surf takes place every year in July-August. Fuerteventura enjoys more than 3000 sunny hours a year, ideal place for a sun break all year around.

The Costa Calma area

The town of Costa Calma is situated at the narrowest part of Fuerteventura in the south, only 15 kms from Morro Jable the southest point of the island. Offers year around sunshine, tranquillity, ideal place to enjoy the wonderful southern beaches of the island, perfect destination for a relaxing holiday. The volcanic lunar landscape and also the enormous sand dunes make the landscape unique.
This area is famous among the water sports lovers, there are several wind-surfing schools, and kite surfing centres around. The world famous kite surf centre Sotavento de Jandia is only 3 kms away. Sailing, jet skiing, snorkling and diving deep sea fishing are also among the beach activities to be discovered.
There are four famous golf centres close, two in Caleta de Fuste (30 minutes drive), the one in Jandia (15 minutes drive), and one in Las Playitas (20 minutes drive).
Oasis Park Zoo in La Lajita ( 10 minutes drive) offers amusement for children and adults as well with its botanical gardens, animal shows, and camel rides.
The water park is located in the north of the island in Corraljo. (90 minutes drive)
Costa Calma has several good restaurants, bars, shopping centres, and also a twice weekly market on Wednesdays and Sundays.

“Fabulous - Will definately stay again” Having just returned from staying at the apartment for the first time ,we want to say how wonderful it was exactly what you see in the photos. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The complex itself is well maintened and peaceful. Having holidayed in fuerteventura every year for the last 17 years we will in future stay nowhere but here , one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had.

“A brilliant holiday” We stayed in Mirtill's apartment for two weeks. It was exactly as it looks on the photos - no unpleasant surprises. Everything was new and modern and functioned well. We hadn't realised quite how many steps there would be to the apartment -normally not a difficulty, but with heavy suitcases not the easiest thing. However, once in the apartment we were very happy and comfortable. We enjoyed the superb view and the nearness to the beach and sea. For this reason we didn't try the pool, but many others seemd to enjoy it. The complex is kept scrupulously clean and is very secure. A couple of tips for anyone coming from England who isn't a linguist: Take DVDs as the only TV programmes are in German or Spanish and find out beforehand how to use a combi oven/microwave, as there is no oven such as we know it. Also, you will get the key from a lady who speaks only Spanish and won't be able to answer any questions which makes for some interesting miming!But, in general, a brilliant place to stay.
