The apartment is in a quiet location, with stunning sea and island views from the apartment and the balcony. Sunsets are spectacular. The resort has its own swimming pool and sun deck, while the beach is immediately next to the apartment. A lido and other coves are within easy walking distance.

The village has bars, shops, and restaurants on the doorstep, plus an outdoor lido and a sumptuous indoor spa with pools, showers and a relaxation room - perfect for dispelling holiday stress! Buses to the bigger resorts of Las Americas, Los Cristianos and Los Gigantes run regularly from just outside the gates.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife has a wonderful climate - not too hot in Summer, not too cold in Winter, and glorious sunshine all the year round!

The island offers something for everyone, from sandy beaches to spectacular volcanic mountain scenery; lovely walks in forest, coast or mountain; shopping; adventure expeditions and water fun parks; zoos; museums and concert halls; boat trips on and below the sea; and a chance to see whales and dolphins in their natural habitat.

The restaurants are many and varied. The choices range from burgers and fish and chips, through local dishes of succulent meat and superb fresh fish, to international cuisine (Japanese, Thai, French, German, Chinese, Indian, Greek and .. and .. and ..) to vegetarian dishes and five star dining.

The bars and night life are legendary, with a chance to enjoy a quiet cocktail in a quiet bar or a noisy pint in a busy pub. The entertainment ranges from jazz to Irish music to tribute groups to comedians to karaoke. Take your pick!

Costa Adeje / Playa Paraiso, Tenerife area

Costa Adeje provides plenty of beaches, from the pleasant local sandy coves to the smart beaches of El Duque and Fañabé, to the fun of Puerto Colón (where there are giant inflatable toys in the water) and Las Americas.

From Puerto Colón there are boat trips to see whales and dolphins and paragliding expeditions. Fañabé offers banana boat rides, pedalos and jetskis, and from Los Cristianos you can take a ferry to the capital, Santa Cruz, or to the islands of La Gomera, La Palma, El Hierro or Gran Canaria.

Newly opened is the spectacular Siam Park, with water fun for all the family. Float along the lazy river, surf the 3-metre waves at the beach, whirl in the vortex of the Giant or the Volcano, or dare to ride the Tower of Power, a dizzying almost vertical slide which goes through the middle of the aquarium! Add to that the Thai floating village, bars and restaurants, and some engaging sea-lions, and it all adds up to a great day out. Free transport provided.

The nearby Aqua Park provides another day of water-based activity, with the added attraction of a dolphin show several times a day. Its sister attraction, the Jungle Park, has wild beasts and crocodiles, parrots, monkeys and a superb bird display. Another great day out. Free transport is available to these attractions.

How to get there

Flight to Tenerife South airport. A taxi from the airport costs about 20 euros. If you want to hire a car, there are car hir companies in Playa Paraiso. Alternatively, there are car hire companies at the airport.

If driving from the airport, take the motorway in the direction signposted Los Cristianos, and follow the motorway to the end. At the final roundabout, turn left (signposted) and follow the road to the next roundabout.
Turn left, go down the hill, and turn left at the roundabout at the bottom.

Follow this road around until you are in the middle of the shops and bars. Paraiso del Sur is painted white and blue, and is on the right as you go down the hill.
