About this location
The Canary Islands region
Under a ten minute walk from the apartment is a bus stop which allows you to get virtually anywhere you want to go, whether it is Playa de Las Américas, Los Cristianos, Santa Cruz or Puerto de la Cruz etc. Good places to visit are Los Gigantes (nice quiet resort), Santa Cruz for the shopping (bus station is right next to El Corte Ingles - the biggest store on the Island) and Puerto de la Cruz for Loro Parc (really good zoo).
The apartment complex is within easy walking distance of the stunning Costa Adeje Beaches amid the five star luxury hotels. In its elevated position overlooking the sea and Mount Téide. Well known for its beautiful beach, with sand imported from the Sahara Desert, the Del Duque area got its name from the nearby Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque, which is recognised as one of the Leading Hotels of the World. A great way to spend a couple of hours is to walk along the beach, and then stop off at the Café of the Gran Bahía del Duque Hotel on the promenade for one of their delicious ice creams.

"The pros definitely outweigh the cons, quirky and great apartment!"
Having stayed at many various apartments in Tenerife I would like to start by saying the service I received from the initial inquiry to the actual holiday was outstanding. All booking requirements were made very clear and any e-mails with any questions were answered almost immediately! I wish this contact was used for all the places we have stayed!
The property itself is in one our favourite areas of Adeji, Playa Del Duque. Very near the fantastic La Torre Del Mirador restaurant. The apartment is set in quite a large complex which looks very well maintained. There is no bar/ restaurant/ shop on site but many within easy walking distance. There is a shared pool area.
There is quite a quirky layout with a central outside patio area with separate doors to all the rooms, so if it is raining heavily you may get wet walking from the lounge to the bathroom for example! We had great weather so that wasn't a problem. (Hoorah!)
From the patio the spiral stairs lead to a fantastic terrace area with 4 sunbeds and a table and chairs with views down to the sea. This terrace gets the sun all day...very tempting to just laze around all day. As you've guessed not suitable for wheelchair users and the stairs may be a bit precarious for small children.....we had to take them slowly after a glass of wine!
The second bedroom was quite small with only a chest of drawers and 2 single beds and no windows. However, the main bedroom had a large double bed and plenty of storage space so as long as you all don't mind sharing this should not be a problem.....and we probably took far too many clothes anyway! The decor was fine for us, not amazingly modern or trendy but it did the job.
We never really saw anyone in the reception area of our entrance to the complex so if you are new to the area or like to ask lots of questions about the resort you may struggle.
Overall great value for the price we paid.
We would definitely stay here again!

"An excellent apartment in a well-cared for development."
The apartment is spacious, and grouped around a small central courtyard. The enormous sun terrace above is sunny from 9 am to dusk and has great views over Bahia del Duque and out to sea - but it is accessed by a narrow spiral staircase, so is not suitable for young children or the less mobile.
The development is secure, very clean and quiet, but poorly signposted internally - it's difficult to find the underground car park, and almost impossible to find the rubbish store.

"TIPS FOR FUTURE TENANTS"
The sun terrace is very big and gets the sun in February, from 0915 to 1815 and there are lovely sea views. The sun terrace is accessed by way of a steep spiral staircase (not good for 'people with restricted mobility' or toddlers). The bed in the master bedroom is very big. The car park slot (when you can find it) is very close to the apartment which is ideal when you have heavy shopping. BBC 1 & 2, ITV 1, Channel 4 & Channel 5 channels are available on the lounge TV. When it rains (which is does in Tenerife and did whilst we were there ) the dining area is open to the elements and you cannot get to the lounge without getting wet. Unfortunately there are no instructions/advice about rubbish disposal, car park slot, fuse box etc and it would be wise to pack a toilet roll!

"Fabulous Location, Stunning Roof Terrace!"
We travelled to this apartment in early Feb 2013 and although it was over our budget it was worth the extra money. The roof terrace was stunning, beautiful sea views and almost 12 hours of sunshine every day! The bedrooms were lovely, I think the bathroom could do with a small upgrade and a few pounds spent on things like rubbish bins, toilet roll on arrival, coat hangers and new towels would really elevate this apartment to excellence. The rental agent was a dream to deal with. Yes, there is a bit of a hill to get up from the beach but if it means I can have one more cocktail then it is worth it!
