In the early nineteenth century the town of Lowestoft became famous for its “hanging gardens” and fine terraced gardens that descended from merchants houses to the base of the cliffs.

"Very comfortable accommodation."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marlane Villa. Everything was spotless, the beds and pillows were comfortable and it had a nice feel about it. There were three of us staying and everything we needed was provided. A nice quiet spot to chill out in after a day sight seeing.
Many thanks for your kind words about our Villa, glad you enjoyed your time in and around Corton

We had a long journey to attend a wedding in Corton, Lowestoft The villa was great, a real home from home so pleased we found it rather than hotel. The rates were very reasonable. All basic requirements were supplied incl linen & towels plus milk, wine & chochies, a nice touch.

Being a busy time of year, we struggled to find anywhere to stay with our two dogs and needed somewhere to stay so we could visit family. Graham at Marlanes Holiday Villas was very accommodating and managed to put us up in one of his villas. He provided an excellent service despite the fact that we were late on arrival, leaving the Christmas lights on so we could find our way and leaving the heating on to heat the house which made our stay a little extra special. When we arrived there were a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine awaiting us, the villa was surprising stylish for the price and we were incredibly happy with the accommodation. Next time we visit family, we shall be staying at Marlanes Holiday Villas again and i would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for choosing our Villa for your very short break and your most kind review, hopefully we will see you again with your two children, whoops sorry doggies

"Pleasant, economical getaway."
A very warm welcome awaited us as we embarked on our break in this convenient, clean, cosy and comfortable apartment. We were greeted with flowers and chocolates and a warm personal welcome. Everywhere was beautifully clean and well kept and the beds as comfortable as could be. The kitchen was well stocked with all facilities and the furnishings comfortable included a very powerful hot shower. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely little place to anyone wishing a first class economical break away in a popular location. Thanks very much Graham and Marlane.
Thanks very much for your kind review, it makes our efforts worthwhile when we have guests who take the time to write nice reviews, hope to see you again

We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a lovely holiday. The accommodation is very well appointed and has everything you need for your stay. It is like a home from home with comfortable beds, very good quality linens, and a well equipped kitchen. There is a great power shower in the bathroom. The site was perfect for us small enough to be quiet but large enough to have a clubhouse with restaurant, shop, beautiful pool with lifeguard, hairdressers, small gym and launderette. We went out of season and the Clubhouse and site in general were quiet. I assume the site would have been a lot busier and possibly louder during the main season. I would say it is a perfect place for a holiday with children with the pool having a gently sloping beach area ideal for younger children as well a a play area outside the Clubhouse. The food in the on site restaurant is good with helpful staff. We also ate out at The Corton Inn which again had good food and service, and the takeaway just outside the site is very good. Graham and Marlane are lovely and the welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and chocolates, wine and fresh flowers were a very nice touch. We will definitely go back to this accommodation.
Hi Hazel, Thank you for your most kind review, you and your family left the Villa in splendid condition, hope to see you all again soon Kind Regards, Marlane & Graham

"Lovely, clean and well stocked. A home from home - superb!"
We found the villa to be very comfortable with plenty of space for the duration of our stay. We had a lot of toys with us but the living area didn't ever seem cluttered. The beds were comfortable and clean and we didn't want for anything. Travel cot, baby bath and high chair all came in very useful. The gate on the decking area was awesome and enabled us to not worry about escaping toddlers. Thanks for letting us hire out your villa. Wonderful.
Lovely review, lovely family, lovely holiday makers, a perfect match for our Villa, thanks so much for choosing us and we hope to see you again

"like a home from home but near the sea."
Travelled with husband, son 14 & daughter 21 also visited. Villa was very well kitted out with everything that we needed. Idea spot with sun streaming in the front windows from first thing in the morning, setting to the back of the property. Although village is quiet its not far from lowestoft, walked along the beach (approx 2.5 miles) visited Africa Alive which was a good day out. Also hired a boat from beccles and spent the day on the broads. Good base for this area. Beachs at gorleston on sea and lowestoft are lovely. The weather was brilliant. Pool is lovely and there was a live band one evening. Food from restaurant was good and not too expensive.
We were so impressed at the long journey you made to holiday in our Villa, and so glad you had a good time. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family, finally thank you so much for choosing our Villa and posting this nice comment, hope to see you again soon
