The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

Cortes De La Frontera / Residencia la Palacia area
Located at approximately 650 metres above sea level Cortes de la Frontera is a picturesque village in the most westerly part of Malaga province in the Serrania de Ronda.The sierras of the mountain complex of Grazalema are to the west of the village with the beautiful Sierra de los pinos(1395m) and Sierra blanquilla soaring above and behind .The wonderful beaches of the costas are easily reachable from Estepona all the way to the beautiful Marbella.The accommodation is ideally located for walkers and mountaineers and especially good for botanists and birdwatchers, being situated on the main northerly migratory route from Africa accross the strait of Gibraltar, with golden eagles and many others visible from the terrace! Andalucia is known for its Moorish architecture,many such sites are reachable including the world renowned palace and gardens of the Al Hambra in granada,The Mezquita in Cordoba,the Reales Alcazares in Seville ,the Alcazaba in Malaga.The festive calendar begins with the carnival then easter and Corpus Christi.The fair of San Roque and San Sebastian is the great patron saint's festivity celebrated between the 23rd. and 27th. of August, with traditional dancing,competitions,cattle fair and the letting loose of the"toro del aguardiente"(bull of the liquor).
How to get there
The shortest and most convenient approach route is probably by air (B.A.) to Gibraltar and then by road (E15 motorway) east to Manilva/Gaucin-Cortes. (Alternatively we reccommend Easyjet to Malaga with special rates on Europcar car hire at the airport and then by (E15) west to Manilva , then as above. Another option is Easyjet to Sevilla and then by road to Ronda-Cortes.(A376,A384,A373)

Further details indoors: The property comprises an entrance hall, kitchen, front & rear bedrooms each with 2 single beds, living room , front balcony and rear terrace and garden.The kitchen is all white with granite type worktop,ample storage above and below,with 4 ring gas hob and extractor.The layout is compact and very easy to use with all the usual consumables(kitchen towels etc. stored above.There is sufficient crockery/cutlery etc. to enable the dishwasher to be loaded through the day and started at night to allow you to use the maximum time for enjoyment and relaxation during your stay! The bathroom is all tiled and contains toilet and bidet,corner shower,basin and mirrored storage unit.The living room contains a 3 seat sofa,coffee table,dining area,storage unit with tourist literature/cd's etc. & a satellite television.The front terrace/balcony contains side storage and is equipped with teak table & 4 chairs.
Further details outdoors: The property is approached by a flight of stairs from the road. at the top a gate leads to the rear terrace and garden where there is access to wonderful walks above .(an unmade track leads along and down to the road. A second door leads to the apartment entrance hall.
