About the home

Casa Christine is a detached, Canarian style villa, situated on the famed Mirador de las Dunas complex, with stunning views over the Parque Natural sand dunes and out to sea. It is on the edge of a secure gated community which has a large communal swimming pool area with a wonderful lagoon style pool and a smaller shallow pool for children.

Casa Christine is a fully equipped detached property, offering you the perfect facilities for a private, self-contained holiday. We have a 20ft heated private pool, together with landscaped gardens and grassed play areas. A wonderful place to relax, swim and enjoy the sun with the family!

We can now also offer optional Air-Conditioning in the three bedrooms .
New 9 hole golf course 4 minutes drive away!
Casa Christine is just 5 minutes drive from Corralejo town centre and/or the beautiful beaches. The nearest supermarket is just 2 minutes drive away or 5 minutes walk. We also provide a BBQ area, and huge roof terrace for that all important sun bathing. Truly an idyllic, peaceful environment for a relaxing holiday

and also constructing a golf putting area with two holes, and a large grassed play area for children together with children's slide & wendy house.Available as from early December.

We have a large roof terrace with stunning views over the sand dunes and out to sea.

We have a fabulous private heated pool of 6.2m x 3m. Beautiful landscaped garden, featuring large terrace, grassed area, a pergola for that bit of shade,and a BBQ for those alfresco meals.

The garden is split level, with a Canarian wall dividing the two halves, and a gate with some shallow steps leading down to the pool. This gives you added security to stop young ones getting to the pool! Also a pool cover is currently being installed which will again give added security for youngsters.

Within the complex a huge communal pool, kids shallow pool & hot tub * 5 min drive/E5 to beach * 5 min drive to a 9 hole golf course *

A reservation will be provisionally held for 48 hours in time for you to book suitable flights.

A deposit of £200 is required upon confirmation of booking, with the balance due 4 weeks before arrival.

A refundable security deposit of £150 is also required upon payment of the balance. This will be returned once we have received a satisfactory report from our local agent.

If reservations are cancelled within 4 weeks of arrival, there will be a cancellation charge of 50% of villa price. If cancelled within 2 weeks there will be a 100% cancellation charge. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Single sex groups not allowed.

We do not accept responsibility for any loss, injury or accident whether personal or otherwise suffered whilst in residence at our property. It is recommended that adequate travel insurance is taken out.

Circumstances beyond our control: If war or terrorist activity, industrial action (threatened or actual), civil unrest, closure of ports or airports, the delay or cancellation of international or domestic flights, ferries or other transportation or any other events or circumstances beyond our control either delays or extends the holiday or causes results in a change in the holiday itself, we will not be liable to you(or to members of your party) nor will any compensation be payable.

The Fuerteventura region

THE ISLAND OF FUERTEVENTURA

Fuerteventura is the second largest and least commercialised of the Canaries. It lies about 90 kilometres off the coast of Africa, with a climate similar to Mexico. It has a wonderful, warm, year round climate, boasting about 3000 hours of sunshine a year.

Fuerteventura is famous for its miles of magnificent, unspoilt and uncrowded beaches, which attract visitors from all around the world. Many kilometres of these white sand beaches, with their stunning, rolling dunes, have been declared a natural park and they are maintained to pristine perfection. The interior of the island is volcanic and relatively barren, with its own kind of unique beauty. Like the neighbouring island of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura was formed by volcanic activity, (the last event was more than 7000 years ago) that gave the island its unusual contours. Charming Canarian villages are dotted over the island and the main tourism is concentrated in a few good quality resorts. Premier Holidays offers beautiful holiday villas and apartments to rent in both rural and resort locations.

The capital of Fuerteventura is Puerto del Rosario, where most of the locals live and the former capital Betancuria is a lovely old town worth visiting. The northern resort of Corralejo is the largest on the island. The newer resort of Caleta de Fuste is south of the capital and is home to a world class golf course. The southern most resort Jandia is quite a long drive, past miles and miles of fabulous, practically empty, white sand beaches.

Fuerteventura attracts water sports enthusiasts from all over the world for it excellent windsurfing, surfing and diving. The sunny climate, wonderful beaches and aquamarine waters are magnets to all lovers of nature and the excellent facilities in the resorts make this a destination for a memorable holiday for all ages and interests throughout the year

The Corralejo / Parque Natural area

CORRALEJO

Corralejo Old Town
The original part of the town is based around the old harbour, which was used by local fishermen. Here the small sheltered beach, Playa la Clavellina, provides safe bathing for locals and holidaymakers alike. Fishing from the harbour wall is a popular pastime, and it is not usually as busy as the photograph suggests. On this particular day there was a competitive swim from Lobos back to Corralejo, and people who had been visiting the tourist information office, as well as relatives of those taking part crowded onto the wall for a good view.

Corralejo Marina
The more modern facility consists of a marina for pleasure craft and room for the ferry services to Lanzarote and Lobos, a small island that is a 15 minute ferry ride from Fuerteventura. There are various trips aimed at those on holiday that run from the harbour, and bookings for these can be made at one of the booths dotted about the area.

Corralejo's Beaches and Dunes
A short distance south of the old port are a couple of more spacious sandy beaches that have fine views of the Island of Lobos. Whereas the small beach by the old harbour in Corralejo seems to making use of the space, these larger beaches are aimed at holidaymakers staying in the north of Fuerteventura, and have everything needed for a day at the beach on Fuerteventura.

The town is surrounded by sand dunes and miles of sandy beaches that form a nature reserve. The beaches between Punta de Tivas and the Tres Islas hotels, called Playa del Pozo, Playa del Medano and Playa de Viejo run in to each other and this sandy shore is sometimes called Flag Beach. These beaches are exposed to the wind and this makes these beaches ideal places to pursue those activities that require a little more life to the water. Circular stone structures provide a windbreak for those that just want to take advantage of Fuerteventura's sunny climate.

Some of these beaches, though it is really one long beach, are used by naturists. The attitude to naturism on Fuerteventura is relaxed and as such there are no designated naturist beaches. Naturists generally prefer to be on beaches that are away from the resort centres, so that they don't offend other bathers. The beach at Playa de Pozo seems to be the most popular with naturists.

Shopping.
For those of you that prefer to keep your feet completely dry whilst having your holiday fun, there are plenty of shopping opportunities. A market is held at the Baku Water Park, on Monday and Friday mornings. There are several commercial centres scattered around the town, with a new one, the Miranda commercial centre opening soon. This is opposite the Bahia Real Hotel.

Amusements.
There are amusement arcades and a couple of bowling alleys with 8 or 10 lanes. There is the usual array of mini golf courses and a few children's' playgrounds, some of which are public areas.

Touring.
There are several companies that run all kinds of organised tours out of Corralejo. These include cycling, hiking, quad bike riding and the usual coach tours around the island. You could also hire a car, or use the local bus service to get around the island.

Fuerteventura Sports
Corralejo is well placed for those of you with a sporting mind. Surfers like Corralejo because it has access to the north track, where some of the best surfing on the island is to be had, and ferries are available to the Isla de Lobos. The trip takes about 15 minutes, and when the waves are good the ferries do good business with the surfers. All the other sports that are available on the island are well catered for.

The property is approximately 35 mins drive from the airport from where taxis are readily available at an approximate cost of €40.
Car hire also available at the airport, pre-bookable online.

We also offer a "Pick your own British Goods" and have them delivered to the villa, please enquire for details.

We can now offer optional air-conditioning for the three bedrooms at a cost of £50 per unit per week

Arrival time no earlier than 1400hrs.

Villa must be vacated by 1100hrs on day of departure(we may be able to extend this depending on whether new guests are arriving that day).

For parents with small children we can provide free of charge:- highchair, travel cot, & blender for baby food.

The villa is fully alarmed for your security, with a simple keyfob operation for your convenience.

3 keys will be provided for the front door(1), front gate(1), & car drive gate(1). Please note if they are lost we will have to charge for a replacement set at a cost of 125 Euros

Our local agents will make contact with you soon after you arrive.They will be contactable throughout your stay for any queries or emergencies. They will also conduct a security check of all items in the villa, in your presence, at the end of your stay.
