The Mimaropa region
Coron is part of Busuanga island. It is a popular tourist destination in the Philippines and has a lot to offer to tourists. If you appreciate nature and unspoilt beaches you´ll love Coron and the surrounding islands. One of the most famous attractions is Kayangan Lake, which is known as one of the cleanest lakes in the whole of Asia. Also you will find one of the world's best diving spots, with beautiful coral reefs and a Japanese ship wreck to explore.

"Great Home Base for staying in and exploring around Coron"
Stayed at this home from Monday to Friday while on Busuanga Island (Coron) and absolutely loved it. The home is huge with three very nice bedrooms, a living room area, a kitchen area, and a very nice porch. The house is a short tricycle or motorcycle ride from town, and the two care takers were very helpful and easy to stay in touch with. The house was in very nice condition, and the beds were very comfortable. The house was in close proximity to anything you'd need on the island, and you can easily get a tricycle to take you the short distance to town just by walking down the street, or by chatting with the care takers. The caretakers were also willing and able to set up day trips to the surrounding islands, van transport to and from the airport, and to set up a motorcycle rental if you would like. The homeowner was also very easy to get in touch with via email or phone, and was very prompt in responding to the many inquiries I had prior to arriving to the home.
The only issue we dealt with while staying in the home was that brownouts often effect different areas throughout the island. The home is equipped with a generator for backup power purposes, but the generator can really only power a handful of fans within the home. You lose the ability to use the AC, warm water in the shower, and the refrigerator if the home is running on the current generator. I don't feel as though I can hold this against the property itself, however, given there is really no control over when a brownout will occur, or how long it will last. Many, if not all, properties on Busuanga have to deal with similar issues. I honestly didn't really mind a cold shower with the warm weather, and the fan kept me cool enough during the night if we were running on a generator. I would also note I had mixed luck using the WiFi. I only tried to use it a handful of times, and wasn't always successful in getting a good connection. Given the whole point of being on vacation is to unplug for a few days, however, this didn't really bother me.
Overall, I think this is definitely one of the best values if you are visiting the island of Busuanga (Coron). The home seems brand new, and is in a relatively nice area that is slowly developing nicer homes around it, and is a short trip from town. If I return to the island someday, I would definitely try to stay at the property again.
