The County Galway/County Clare region

Both the Cliffs of Moher and the lunar landscape of the Burren lie in North Clare, one of the most beautiful part of the County.

Famous also for its lakes and fishes, one can go wild with surfing the Atlantic's west coast waves or mellow in the sleepy tranquillity of a lakeside hideaway.

From Lisdoonvarna to Millton Malbay or Ennis you will find a festival to enjoy at any time of the year.

Climbing, hiking, cycling, surfing, Clare has something for everybody.

Clare is steep in history with the Ennis Friary, Bunratty castle, Dysert O'Dea archeological site...

A word of warning, one does not come to Ireland for the sunshine but one will get it eventually, the weather here is very changeable and the rain is always interrupted by the sun. Or the other way round..

Corofin

Corofin is a charming colourful village that host a traditional music festival from 24th of February to 3rd of March. It has everything you need, from grocery shops to pubs chemist and even a beauty salon if you feel like treating yourself after a day hiking or cycling.

From Corofin you can easily visit the Burren in one day, from Black head to Ailwee cave to the Burren perfumery and Poulnabrone Dolmen. You can also visit Dysert O'Dea a 15th century castle lying less than 5km from the cottage.

Corofin is also renowned for it's fishing attractions, from Inchiquin lake to Ballyculinan where you can fish for pike perch or tench.

Corofin and the Burren is also a paradise for cyclists who enjoy steep hills and beautiful landscape!
