Mahon Point shopping centre is directly across the road ( Cork's Newest shopping Mall & second largest in Ireland) it boasts high street shops like Debenhams, B&Q, Currys, Halfords, Tesco 24 hour grocery shopping , Eason's Book store , high class clothing boutiques, a food court with all the major fast food brands on board, Cinema, Bennigans sports bar/ restaurant and other shops. Douglas Village is a short drive and there are a number of high class restaurants located there , Monkstown and Rochestown not to mention the Barn at Lotabeg and . Golf courses are abundant in the area. Horseriding is available at Ballygarvan , Rochestown and Glanmire.
