Home description
'Aspro Spiti' means White House in Greek!
The house is 'upside down' with the lounge and living area upstairs to take advantage of the panoramic sea views across the Mediterranean Sea to Albania, Corfu Town, Paxos, Lefkas and Western Greek Mainland.
The upstairs is 'open plan' with a kitchen area and separate lounge and dining area with two sets of double doors leading on to the large balcony where you will find a table and chairs (and sun umbrella) - a perfect place for having breakfast while watching the sun rise over Albania or to enjoy a glass of wine and a few olives in the evening listening to the haunting hoots of a scops owl and watching the twinkling lights of Corfu Town.
The bedrooms are downstairs where it is cooler in the summer with the traditionally thick whitewashed walls.

The Ionian Islands region
Corfu is the second largest Ionian Island and is also the greenest. Spring time in Corfu is breathtakingly beautiful as the landscape is carpeted with masses of wild flowers. There are over 30 species of orchid grow on the island.
The Durrell brothers were famous residents of the island, Prince Philip was born (!) there and Rick Stein raved about the food in his recent TV programme
With its beguiling landscape of windflowers and cypress trees rising out of shimmering olive groves, Corfu is considered by many as Greece's most beautiful island. Rocky coves, stunning sunsets and golden sandy beaches captivate everyone that visits this Ionian jewel also known as the Emerald Island.
Corfu has managed to maintain its distinct Mediterranean feel with miles of coastline for visitors to enjoy their holiday. Secret coves, deserted beaches and lively bars and discos ensure that there is something for everyone to enjoy from their holiday.
Spartilas also has one of the best restaurants on the island 'Agnadia' where on a Saturday evening live music is played.
Corfu / Spartilas area
Spartilas is 2-3 miles from the North East Coast Beach resort 'Barbati' through unspoilt olive grove countryside, full of wild flowers in spring and trilling cicadas in the Summer.
Nicknamed 'The Balcony of Corfu' due to Spartilas's unrivalled vista across the Mediterranean and across the island to Corfu Town, and further to Paxos.
The village has a mini-market, chemist, bakers, kafenion and family run taverna.
Ipsos and Gouvia are 10 to 15 minutes drive away and offer a wealth of bars, shops and restaurants for evening entertainment for those who want a bit of extra night life.

The second bedroom has full size bunk beds suitable for children or adults and a small chest of drawers.
In the second lounge downstairs is a sofa bed which pulls out to form a large single bed. This room also has a large cupboard.
