About the home

This villa is a very comfortable newly built stone house, located on a hillside overlooking the small port of Kassiopi. It enjoys the rare facility of being in a country location with lovely natural pebble beaches and within easy walking distance of 5 minutes into the village of Kassiopi. The house faithfully follow traditional Corfiot design whilst incorporating today's modern comforts. Extensive all round terraces ensure a mixture of country views, over olive groves and up to the hills behind, to panoramic views over Kassiopi to the sea and coastline. The great advantages of this villa is it's close proximity to Kassiopi. It is possible to manage without a car, although, it is always recommended in order to explore the island. A boat is also recommended as a very enjoyable way of seeing the stunning coastline and enjoying a secluded swim at one of the many beautiful bays, or relaxing over a long lunch at one of the many tavernas on the coast.

Both villas have air-conditioning in all rooms, paddle fans and mosquito screens at windows.

The owners live unobtrusively above the two villas and manage the properties themselves, they are available for any help or advice if required. A complimentary food hamper will be in each villa on arrival.

The Ionian Islands region

Corfu is considered by many to be the most beautiful of all the Greek islands. It is the greenest of the Ionian Islands, and probably also the best known. The island offers a beguiling landscape of wild flowers, cypress trees, olive trees and several deliciously sandy beaches.

The island’s main town built largely by the Venetians during their rule in the 15th Century, with it’s stunning architecture is a main attraction in itself. With it’s esplanades and piazzas, it is a cosmopolitan place enjoyed by young and old alike.

Corfu is surrounded by a beautiful and varied coastline. It has the precise balance of long sandy beaches, secluded shingle coves, some of which can only be reached by boat, and high cliffs which are the perfect resting point to take in some of the spectacular sunsets. The small fishing villages and beachside tavernas offer a fine selection of traditional greek cuisine to suit all tastes. Corfu still holds it’s traditional family values, and in some areas, day to day life is carried out in the same way as centuries ago

The north coast is more typical Greek with a rocky coastline where the crystal clear water has chopped into pebbled bays and coves.

Corfu town offers some great restaurants with delicious food. The cuisine is influenced by many different cultures and Italian cuisine seems to have had a big influence. Some of the specialities worth trying are the Sofrito, the pastitsada and the bourdeto. The gelaterias are not to be missed either. Corfu town has many cafés, most of which line the main pedestrian street, Listón. A true Corfu experience is to watch the world go by whilst enjoying a frappe (ice-coffee drink).

The Corfu / Kassiopi area

his villa is a very comfortable newly built stone house, located on a hillside overlooking the small port of Kassiopi.Beaches are within a short walking distance of 7-10 minutes.Equally a 5 minute walk is all that is needed to reach local amenities, shops, bars, supermarkets,internet cafes,tourist offices etc
The nearest sandy beach is a bus ride away taking about 10 minutes or a kaiki ride away taking about 20 minutes.There are some vey quaint villages nearby eg St Stephanos ,Kalami, St Spiridon that are all availble by boat or car. A short walk of about 5-7 minutes bring you into Kassiopi village where you may relax in one of the bars either situated in the main square or down at the harbour. There are also some very pleasant walks , one being around the local coastal road from Kassiopi harbour to Kalamionas beach.Kassiopi also hosts the ruins of an ancient castle .There is a large local festival on the 15th August held in the harbour offering lamb on the spit , kebabs,live greek music and dancing.
