Home description
Two traditional detached houses of 90sq.m each, with private pool (Arethusa house only) and breathtaking seaview. Each house has two bedrooms (one double, one twin) with separate balconies, one bathroom (washing-machine, hair-dryer, air-cooler), one fully equipped kithenette, a dining area, a living-room (fire-place, sofabed), a picturesque backyard and a spacious roofed veranda with panoramic view both to mountain and to the sea. An open parking space is also available. The houses are located in a private estate of approx 11,000sq.m, perched on a hillside overlooking the Gulf of Aetos, near Vathy, Ithaca. The estate is full of olive and many other fruit-bearing trees; there is also a vineyard. The visitors can rest or walk under the natural shade of trees, pick up and taste fruits, participate in the traditional vine-harvest (if they happen to be there end of August) or the olive-harvest (end of September).

The Ionian Islands region
The Ionian Islands are scattered off the west coast of mainland Greece and are surrounded by crystal clear waters.
The Ionian islands receive above average rainfall with the result that they're lush and green, awash with olive groves, cypresses and mountainsides carpeted with orchids and other wild flowers in springtime. Winters are mild and wet but the summer months are quite hot.
The Ionian pelago is quite different from the Aegean islands in terms of both its culture and appearance. You'll find many legacies of the French and British occupations here rather than the Turkish influence which is so much in evidence on the Aegean islands.
Corfu area
If you want to enjoy the nature, Ithaca offers you many things to do, such as walking peaceful paths with astonishing view, swimming in turquoise waters, fishing, making excursions to picturesque villages or hiring a boat to explore the island's coastline and the neighdouring islets.
For those wishing to discover the history and culture of Ithaca, there are some archaeological and cultural museums, a lot of archaeological sites associated with Homer's stories, as well as many churches and monasteries.
Whether you are a fan of Greek cuisine or you just want to have a good time, there are many nice restaurants and traditional taverns where you can taste the local products and specialties, as well as some small bars where you can enjoy your coffee or drink.
