Some of the joys of spending relaxing holidays on Corfu are the constant glimpse of the turquoise sea, stunning coastline, picturesque coves and rocky inlets; all these greet you every day from the balconies of Villa Nicolas, situated in an elevated position above the small road leading down to the pretty bay of Agni on the North East coast, renown for its excellent waterside Taverna’s!
Accessed by a narrow and winding road, the drive is well worth the effort as the bay is beautiful, with crystal clear waters surrounded by olive and cypress trees.
Villa Nicolas comprises of three individual apartments all sharing use of the swimming pool, brick BBQ and garage parking.
At all levels of the Villa are large balconies, in addition to the large pool terrace and barbecue/dining terrace, offering plenty of space for a large party to gather together or relax in solitude, whilst admiring the exceptionally pretty view.
The Villa is located just four hundred and fifty metres from the pebbly beach at Agni, however the walk is on a sharp incline so we do feel that this may be a slight problem for those with walking difficulties although only a two minute drive by car!

The Ionian Islands region
Corfu is the second largest, greenest Ionian island, and also the best known. In Greek, the island's name is Kerkyra (Ker-kih-rah). With its beguiling landscape of wildflowers and cypress trees rising out of shimmering olive groves, Corfu is considered by many as Greece's most beautiful island. Rocky coves, stunning sunsets and golden sandy beaches captivate everyone that visits this Ionian jewel also known as the Emerald Island. Corfu has managed to maintain its distinct Mediterranean feel with miles of coastline for visitors to enjoy their holiday. Secret coves, deserted beaches and lively bars and discos ensure that there is something for everyone to enjoy from their holiday.
Corfu / Agni area
This family home stands in mature olive groves and has breathtaking views across Agni Bay and the northern Ionian Sea to the Albanian mountains in the distance. Agni literally translates as ‘unspoilt’ in Greek and this describes the bay perfectly. Accessed by a narrow and winding road, the drive is well worth the effort as the bay is beautiful, with crystal clear waters surrounded by olive and cypress trees and renown for its excellent waterside Taverna’s! The next small bay to Agni is Yaliskari Bay, it is completely undeveloped and has excellent swimming and snorkeling here. You can reach it on foot from Agni over a track to the rock formations. Nearby is the ‘Chapel of Agios Arsenius’ mentioned by Lawrence Durrell in “Prospero Cell”. Below it is a small underwater cave for the more adventurous snorkelers and swimmers.

Further details indoors: The top villa sleeps a maximum of 6 people at any one time and consists of 1 master double en-suite bedroom with air-con, ceiling fan, balcony with full sea view over Agni Bay and full sized bath with shower over. The two twin bedrooms share a shower room and have french windows opening onto the sea facing front balcony also over Agni Bay. The washing machine is located in the shower room. On the lower level is a separate shower room with guest toilet, open plan lounge with fireplace, corner settee, satellite TV and air conditioning, dining area with table and six chairs and kitchen with breakfast bar sharing a partly covered balcony overlooking the bay with fantastia sea views, great for outdoor cuisine! The Kitchen comprises of an electric oven, extractor fan, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. The apartment below sleeping a maximum of two people consists of one twin bedded room with a wardrobe, dressing table and french doors leading onto the front sea facing balcony with views over Agni Bay. There is a separate shower room with corner tray, wash basin and toilet. The open plan kitchenette consists of a half oven (microwave size!) with grill, fridge freezer, satelite TV, sofa, dining table and a couple of chairs. The apartment also has air conditioning! The other apartment, to the side and on the same level as the smaller one, sleeps a maximum of four people at any one time and consists of two twin bedded rooms both with wardrobes, dressing tables and french doors leading onto the front balcony. The bathroom has a three quarter sized bath with shower over it, toilet, vanity unit and mirror. The open plan kitchen has a full sized electric oven, extractor fan and hob, fridge freezer, microwave and small dishwasher. To the other side of this room is the dining table with four chairs, the sofa and satelite TV.
All three apartments can be rented individualy or all together.
The swimming pool and brick BBQ are to be shared for all three apartments and there are sunloungers, umbrellas and tables provided for around the pool area. There is also an outside shower and toilet.
There is a garage for car parking under the pool area however it can only store two cars so a third car may have to be parked on the road by the side of the Villa.
Further details outdoors: At all levels of the Villa are large balconies, in addition to the large pool terrace and barbecue/dining terrace, offering plenty of space for a large party to gather together or relax in solitude, whilst admiring the exceptionally pretty view.
Please note there are 27 steps from road level to pool level then another 26 steps up to the 1 and 2 bed apartments. The top Villa has another 19 steps leading up to it, making a total of 72 steps from the road to the top Villa!
Further details
Arrivals and departures on either Mondays or Fridays preferred and for a minumum of 1 week. Check in normally is after 15:00hrs and check out by the latest at 12:00noon. This is to give the cleaner sufficient time for a same day change over. However if your flight times do not match these times, subject to availability, the Villa can be made available to you for a small extra cost. You will be advised of this nearer to your arrival date however this cannot be guaranteed that you can stay on after 12:00 noon.
Conditions
All breakages must be reported to Lynn as soon as possible and either replaced or paid for in resort by yourselves. A non refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure either of the apartments for your requested dates and then the remaining balance of 80% is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival at Villa Nicolas. If you book to arrive last minute then the paymeny in full MUST be paid to Lynn prior to your arrival.
