“Elli -Marina Studios and Apartments” is a peaceful retreat, surrounded by olive groves and cypress trees, ideal for your late-spring, summer or early-fall vacations. The resort was constructed in 1987 around the location where the house of our grandmother Elli once stood. In 2000 the complex was upgraded with the addition of a lovely outdoor pool and snack bar “Barracuda” adjacent to it. This is where our guests relax under the clear blue skies and enjoy the hospitality for which “Elli-Marina” is renowned.

This complex of studios and apartments is at the Loutrouvia area of Benitses, 50 meters away from the beach and only a five minute walk from the centre of the village. You will find nothing to “disrupt” the tranquility of your holiday apart from birds singing...

The Ionian Islands region

Corfu is part of the Ionian Islands, "gr.Heptanisos", a group of seven isles endowed with stunning natural beauty and very mild climate, stretching from the northwest coast of Greece all the way to the south of the Peloponnese peninsula.

Due to their strategic geographic location they soon became a meeting point for the civilizations of three continents, a fact clearly evident in the unique mixture of architectural styles, food and local customs. Corfu / Benitses area

Corfu, the legendary "Island of the Phaecians" and the second largest of the Ionians, is undoubtedly one of the most captivating holiday destinations in Greece: a place imbued with important history and myth alike.

From antiquity through the 20th century, a multitude of conquerors have laid claim on Corfu for its strategic maritime location. The result is a beautiful mixture and layering of Russian, Venetian, British, German and Classical Greek architecture, which is set in a backdrop of wonderful natural beauty.

Corfu Town, the capital of the prefecture and home to 45.000 people, is undeniably one of the most cosmopolitan places in Greece. Two remarkable fortresses and the narrow alleys –gr. Kantounia- hallmarks of the Venetian period, the famous Colonnade of the Liston modeled after the famous street Rivoli in Paris, and the neoclassical buildings of the British, all attest to the fact that Corfu has been throughout is history a cultural crossroad.

The patron Saint of Corfu is honoured on this day for his miraculous intervention which stemmed the month long seize of the Turks in 1716.


Benitses happens to be one of the most idyllic villages on the island of Corfu, nestled among mountains and sea. If you want to explore our island then Benitses is an excellent starting point for delightful excursions to the scenic North and South of Corfu, but also to its West where you can enjoy golden, sandy beaches and romantic sunsets.

*Assumption of the Virgin on August 15th . Celebrations take place all over Greece, centred on churches dedicated to the Virgin.

How to get there

Getting to Corfu -a.k.a. "Kerkira" - is not difficult! From the UK direct flights can be obtained easily from May to October. "EasyJet", the discount airliner, will start flying to our island four times a week beginning March 31, 2008. During the winter months the situation is different with flights to Corfu to be found only through "Eleftherios Venizelos" the airport in Athens.

By sea on the other hand, ferries run frequently throughout the year from most major Italian ports such as Ancona, Venice, Bari and Brindisi, to Corfu.

Once you have arrived -and regardless of your point of entrance- it is quite simple to find "Elli- Marina". Just follow the signs for Lefkimmi and the simple set of instructions below.

The distance from "Ioannis Kapodistrias", Corfu΄s airport, is 11 km. Take a left as you leave and keep going straight for another 3 km past a busy set of traffic lights. After a 5 to 10 minute ride you will reach a Y-intersection where you take a left to Lefkimmi. Benitses is 8 km away (approximately 10 to 15 minute ride.)

Alternatively, if you are coming from the port the distance is 13 km. After you exit the docking area take a right. You will come to a T- intersection where you turn left. You will reach a Y- intersection where you should go right and without changing direction keep going straight until you see the “Lidl” supermarket on your left hand. There you take a right and keep going straight past a busy set of traffic lights. After a 5 minute ride you will come to a Y- intersection where you take a left to Lefkimmi . Follow the road for 8 km in order to reach Benitses.

If you take a taxi then ask the cab driver to take you to Benitses.

Once you have reached the village go past the square and proceed for another 500 meters where you will see signs on your right for "Elli - Marina" and the "Barracuda Pool Bar". Take a right turn into the narrow road and we are only 40 meters away! Welcome and enjoy your stay!

Between 8-14 days prior to your arrival we refund 25%
Between 0-7 days prior to your arrival we refund 0%

*The customer accepts to reimburse us for the entire amount of reservation if he or she does not show up.

*In case of departure earlier than the confirmed date we charge 50% of the amount corresponding to the remaining nights.
