The Ionian Islands region

The islands of the Ionian sea are all famous for olive trees planted by the Venetians 200 years ago to light up Venice. Corfu town is full of Venetian architecture showing many of the influences of many invaders over many centuries.

Temperatures are very good most of the year with 300 days sunshine on average. it rains mainly in January and February giving the island a very green look with loads of flowers through the early summer.
