Villa Ramiro is named after a nearby lake, which in the summer months turns into a large pasture of camomile flowers.Set in the beautiful and peaceful Ropa valley and close to the east coast, the villa's large and private grounds look out to a rich and gentle countryside of olive groves and cypress trees. No other houses can be seen. The villa comprises two traditionally styled houses joined by a delightful open-air dining area, and 2 acres of enclosed gardens surrounding the swimming pool. Tall, wild oak trees, some strung with hammocks, provide natural shade in the grounds. Country cottage style furnishings of pine and oak and modern kitchens and bathrooms, create an elegant home of refined comforts. The main house has an open-plan sitting room, dining area and well equipped kitchen with washing machine one twin bedded room, bathroom with shower. Stairs to one bedroom and one twin bedded room, bathroom with bath. Shaded, outside dining terrace and kitchen are with barbecue. Also, villa has TV/ Video and CD player, air conditioning in bedrooms and two mountain bikes are provided. The guest house has an open plan sitting room and kitchenette, bathroom with shower. So, villa has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 8 guests. Ropa valley in Corfu is the perfect rural retreat complete with mountain ranges, fragrant pine forests, crystal clear rivers and superb views. It is a place to really get away from all the noise and hassle of day to day life. A car is essential and the nearest popular resorts are Glyfada and Ermones, both with sandy beaches. Holidays in Ropa Valley mean one thing. Lashings and lashings of undisturbed peace and quiet and scenery that to-die-for. Cue jungle-covered mountain ranges with gentle mists dusting their peaks. The nearby beach at Myrtiotissa, in front of a small, 14th Century monastery, was referred to by Lawrence Durrell as perhaps the loveliest beach in the world.
