Home description
So beautiful is the setting of Rock House that it is just the sort of place where you could stay all day and never want to move. From the main balcony there is a glorious panorama across the tree tops and the deep blue sea to Paleokastritsa; this lovely view can also be enjoyed from the living area and from the double en suite bedroom – you can even lie in bed and revel in the marvelous vista. French windows open from both these rooms on to the balcony and there is another smaller balcony leading from the twin bedroom.
The accommodation is on the first floor, reached by paved exterior steps leading from the side to the rear of the house. Car parking for the house is next to these steps, making it easy to load and unload from your vehicle. The homely interior comprises a very light and airy, open plan kitchen and dining room, leading through to a comfortable lounge with an open fireplace, three bedrooms (1 double with en suite bathroom and two twin bedrooms) and a separate shower room.

The Ionian Islands region

Perched on a rock overlooking the resort is the 18th Century working Monastery of Theodokou, open daily to visitors it boasts a working Olive Press, small Chapel and spectacular views from its elevated position. A short drive from Paleokastritsa lay the villages of Krini, Vistonas and Makrades. The Angelokastro, located just behind the village of Krini now in a state of ruin, rises high above the village, its’ battlements still visible, a footpath will take you to the top to enjoy unrivalled views from its vantage points.
The villagers of the agricultural settlements of Makrades and Vistonas regularly sell their wares to visitors passing through, freshly pressed Olive Oil, Corfiot Honey, and locally made village wine, can all be bought very reasonably from their little roadside stalls.
