Ionian Eye, holiday house, is situated in a quiet village of Messongi. It is 22 kilometers south from Corfu town. Ionian Eye is only 80 meters from beautiful beach. Shops, super markets, bakery and gyros shop are very close, too. Although, set in a quiet area, the position of the house allows you to enjoy noisy nightlife distant from 300 m to 2 km (center of Messongi and Moraitika villages). This makes it ideal for any holiday taste.

The Ionian Islands region
Corfu enjoys hot, dry summers and mild winters. Temperatures in July and August range from 90ºF (32ºC) during the day to 64ºF (18ºC) at night. Rainfall is unlikely during the peak summer season, but heavy showers can be expected between September and April.
The climate is mild without being bitterly cold in winter, and summers are quite humid. The heavy rainfall and the high humidity encourage the profuse growth of vegetation, therefore the island has a lot of greenery, even in the summer.
The Corfu / Messonghi area
This luxurious villa is located in south-east of the island, 22 km from the city and only 200 m from the pebble and sandy beach of Messonghi. The centre of Messonghi village is distant only 500 m and is considered to be one of the most picturesque resorts in Corfu because it combines mountains, sea and river. It is not a coincidence that this resort pioneered tourism in Greece. The resort is also famous for its numerous fresh fish and sea food taverns. Here you can also find bakery, grocery stores, restaurants and bars on the beach. Messongi river is a natural border between Messongi and Moraitika villages and it is used as a base for daily boat trips to Mainland Greece, sea caves, Mouse Island and Paxos & Antipaxos islands. At the distance of 1,5 km from the villa lies village of Moraitika where you can find markets, boutiques, souvenir shops, restaurants, clubs and bars.Only 15 minutes drive you can find untouched protected area of sea water lake with huge 13 Km sandy beach.

The island is the greenest island I ever visited. Olive, orange and lemon trees all over the place and abundant scant of blossoming jasmine trees. The accommodation is located in a small village about 20 km south from the main city Corfu. It has a beautiful swimming pool and a wonderful sea view towards the mainland. Very quiet and relaxing surrounding. The apartments are nice, with a fully equipped kitchenette and a modern bath. The owner was very polite, hospitable and provided us with a useful advice about the island sightseeing's and Easter events at the main city Corfu. |

We originally wanted to book at the Palms & Spas apartments next door to this hotel but it was fully booked... but we were NOT disappointed with Ionian Eye and actually think we had more privacy on... more |
