About the home
Villa Loukia is a wonderful 3 bedroom villa, nestled into the olive groves above Kassiopi on NE Corfu. Its location offers both peace and seclusion but also the convenience of being in walking distance of the shops and tavernas. Great location with all the lovely coves of the NE coast just a short drive away. It is of a modern, practical design with all three bedrooms being en-suite and fully air-conditioned. It comfortably sleeps 6 but can take 7 on request. Great attention has been given to providing many different outside areas - so important in a hot climate.
'There is masses of space in the house, meaning that everybody can find a peaceful spot. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped, and the eating area works really well. If anything, the villa was even more wonderful than it looked on the website.' - guest comment 2011
As a brief summary there is a large open plan living room, one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs all with ensuite bath/shower rooms. There is an outdoor sitting room upstairs, private terrace off master bedroom, downstairs eating area, large bbq area covered with a pergola and large pool with gated terrace with ample room for sunbathing on all sides, either in the shade or in full sun. There really is somewhere for everyone.
The owners are English and we have many years of experience of renting villas and so have used this experience to make sure that Villa Loukia provides its guests with everything they need for a brilliant holiday. Also, we do not use a holiday agent, you can only book Villa Loukia direct with us, so that we can maintain and ensure the quality. The Ionian Islands region

Corfu is a stunningly beautiful island, close to Albania. Due to its sometimes heavy rainfall during the winter it is a green and lush island, covered with many olive groves and cyprus trees.
The North East coast is a lovely quiet location for holidays - there are no major hotels on this coast line.
The Corfu / Kassiopi area
Villa Loukia is situated on the gorgeous NE coast of Corfu. This area is a well-kept secret by those who visit and many visitors go there year after year!
The coast line from Nissaki to Kassiopi is a wonderful area of hidden coves, secluded beaches and taverna lined bays. There really is something for everyone.

Everything was first class. The villa is in a stunning setting, the upstairs balcony is a great excuse to enjoy a late afternoon G&T and look at the stunning views! Internally the villa is equiped with everything you need, we have stayed in a number of "luxury villas" but they don't compare to this one. We have even stolen one of Lucy's ideas & we bought a chess set in Corfu town which now sits in our lounge as a lovely reminder of our stay. I would thoroughly recommend a stay in this villa, we are hoping to be able to go again next year but this time for 2 weeks as 1 week wasn't long engough! |

Villa Loukia is a gem of a villa situated in a very quiet location just outside the town of Kassiopi, and has the most amazing views over the olive groves towards Albania. From the moment we arrived we fell in love with it and had the most amazing 10 day relaxing holiday.Lucy, the owner, has created a truly wonderful villa with amazing attention to detail. It is beautifully furnished and lacks for nothing. we were particularly impressed with the fluffy white bath towels and wooden coat hangers in all rooms! The pool was kept very clean and some days we had to drag ouselves away from the inviting hammock and sun loungers that surrounded the pool. The outside eating and relaxing areas were amazing, we counted no less than 7 different areas. There was always somewhere for the nightly game of cards and gin and tonic whilst watching glorious sunsets. This was a villa in a million and quite simply, beautiful.

Wonderful week. Villa was everything I'd hoped for: as lovely as it looked in the photos and very well equipped right down to quality handwash in the bathrooms and bottles of water in the fridge awaiting us on arrival. Without doubt the best equipped and well laid-out villa we've ever stayed in - everything looked new and spotlessly clean and everything worked (not always the case in rented accommodation abroad or indeed in the UK). Owner extremely helpful before we went answering lots of questions - booking was easy and it was good to know that there was an agent in Corfu we could have contacted if need be (there was no need in the event). Lovely pool and lots of places to sit to get views/sun/shade at various times of the day. There were six of us, age range 18yrs to 60yrs and the situation was perfect as the four members of the party who were under 25 were able to walk into Kassiopi whenever they felt like it without having to drive or be driven (bit of a hike back up the hill but not too bad and you can always jump straight into the pool to cool down once you get back to the villa!) We booked two small hire cars through the villa owner's agent in Corfu before we went out and that all worked well: they were waiting for us at the airport as arranged. Nearby Nikos supermarket was great as was another we found at Sinies - such friendly and helpful owners. Nikos can provide food ready prepared for bbqs and he is open just about all the time it seemed! Recommend Harrys Taverna a few miles on the road north out of Kassiopi - very reasonable, masses of food and nice owner who gave us a free course of fresh fruit plus a local liquer at the end of the meal. We loved our drive up into the hills to Old Perithia - there are several tavernas here and it gives you a taste of "old Greece", road wasn't too scarey. We hired a boat for a day at Avlaki beach - good for exploring little beaches unreachable by car. Another time hired a pedalo at Kerasia. Evening boat trip from Kassiopi to Corfu was fun although the boat was pretty uncomfortable and quite expensive. However, worth it to be able to explore Corfu town and not have to drive all the way there or have to find parking. Nice sandy beach was Ag. Spiridonas, north of Kassiopi, good waves for bodyboarding on a windy day. Wish we could have had another week to do more exploring especially inland - would love to return to Villa Loukia one day. It is very special.
A truly special place

We completely fell in love with the villa. I sometimes sat out on the balcony late at night listening to Skops owl and looking at the stars and thinking it was the most idyllic place imaginable. The views really are spectacular, at any time of day.
The owners have been so clever with all they have done. The layout is just ideal - the barbecue area was popular with everyone and the tiny balcony outside the master bedroom was popular with the teenagers, who liked to go up and grab the last of the sunshine, lying next to each other like sardines! The sun loungers are incredibly comfy and the pool was blissfully large and was always full of people. Being able to walk to and from Kassiopi was SUCH a boon (and so rare - ideal for teenagers). Everything the owners said about the villa was true, and the info in there was just so helpful re tavernas etc. Beforehand we had some correspondence about car hire and so on, and Lucy was fantastically efficient about responding to every query with the utmost speed.
There is masses of space in the house, meaning that everybody can find a peaceful spot. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped, and the eating area works really well. If anything, the villa was even more wonderful than it looked on the website.
We recommend the villa wholeheartedly, although rather reluctantly as we are nervous about too many people discovering how special it is!. We all absolutely LOVED it.
Perfect Corfu

We've just returned from a marvelous 2 weeks at Villa Loukia. The house was everything we had hoped for; a perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. The views are stunning and we spent many an evening relaxing on the upper balcony just watching the coast of Albania. Kassiopi Harbour has a great selection of restaurants as do the surrounding towns and villages. A boat trip to Agni for dinner at the Taverna was a high-light of our holiday.
We found the property to be very clean and well maintained. The swimming pool is large and also well maintained with plenty of sunbeds and space to sunbathe! The owner was very helpful and happy to answer all my questions as were the team on the ground. The owner recommended a car hire firm who were very easy to deal with and we had no issues with them at all.
I would certainly recommend this villa and would look to go back myself without hesitation.

Villa Loukia is fabulous. This is definitely the best holiday we have had ever. The owners have thought of everything. The quality of the property is 5 star. If you are looking for a quiet but quality holiday this is definitely the place to go. Beautiful furniture and a beautiful villa with fabulous views. If you want to self cater you will find everything you need in the well equipped kitchen. The local friendly supermarket is only a 5-10 minute walk away and you will find pretty much everything you need at a reasonable price. When we went they even offered to deliver our groceries for us! We found the supermarkets in Kassioppi to be slightly more expensive. There is a lovely B-B-Q area for eating and chilling out at night but i have to say my favourite area was the balcony outside the master bedroom with comfortable seating overlooking the sea and Albania. If you want to go into town for food and entertainment we tried a different restaurant every night and never had a bad meal. I can recommend Janis's which is a bit more pricey but well worth it and the Italian restaurant on the right hand side as you walk down to the town, although the portions are not huge so would recommend you have more than one course. We took my father with us who holidays abroad a lot and he thought it was the most relaxing holiday he'd ever had and by far the best quality. I would highly recommend this villa and we will certainly be looking to return as i think we would find it hard to find a property to match it.
An excellent week in Corfu

My wife and I spent 8 great days here this August, with our teenage daughter and 3 of her friends. The villa is very well designed, finished and equipped to a high standard and has everything you need (except Sky Sports !). The view across the olive groves and the sea to Albania is wonderful and the upstairs (taken by the girls as "their space") or downstairs terraces ("for parents") are great places to look at it. The centre of Kassiopi is ideal - it has the right mix of traditional tavernas and livelier bars (most with Sky Sports) - and 10-15 mins walk from the villa. We were (reasonably) hapy to let the girls go "clubbing" until early hours and walk home. Greece seemed cheaper than the UK and pretty good value. Nikos supermarket is reasonable and certainly adequate for most needs. We spent a lot of time at Kalamaki beach as it's sandy and shallow. Avlaki also appealed. There are some dreadul places towards Corfu town (e.g. Dassia) but girls enjoyed Aqualand while we went to Palekastritsa - very pretty spot with picturesque beaches. The locals were the most welcoming I have ever come across outside Thailand. Would definitely go back to this villa.
