About this location
The Dorset region
Close to Poole Harbour and the Purbecks, as well as the New Forest, Dorset just has so much to offer. The ancient market town of Wimborne is a delightful place where you can find many good places for a meal like Number 9, an award winning restaurant.
Kingston Lacy House is just outside Wimborne if you are interested in our heritage, but if it's wild life, Brownsea Island is a must - especially if you are rewarded with the sighting of a rare red squirrel.
Broadstone Golf Course is very prestigious place and is located about 2 miles from Birch Haven.

"A lovely apartment in a great area with very welcoming hosts!"
After booking our first family holiday relatively last minute we were delighted that we managed to find this apartment. We stayed for a week from the 30th August and had a wonderful time. On arrival Deborah came and welcomed us, provided us with loads of leaflets for things to do whilst we were there and even as a nice personal touch gave us a homemade cake! Everything that we needed was included in the studio and it was very clean and homey. Another highlight was the garden, which was lovely to have a walk around and to relax in the sun. When seeing Deborah and Brian around the property they were always pleasant and seemed genuinely interested in what we had been doing/how we were, so it was great to have a little chat and listen to their suggestions. On leaving they left us a bag of fresh apples from the garden and a nice card too. Safe to say that we will be heading back there after our wonderful experience. Cant thank them enough! Only thing i would suggest is putting a sign up at the front of the property saying Birch Haven. The actual name of the property is different so we did get confused about which house it was!
