Villa | 5 bedrooms | sleeps 9
This magnificent large early 19th century villa, has been lovingly restored to maintain the romantic ambience of a previous age.
The elevated position allows 360 degree views.
The secluded swimming pool has stunning views across the wild garden to the hills and villages beyond. The elevated pool has a grass sloping area behind, with a warm natural stone surround and sun-loungers to relax in. There is a solar cover to keep the heat in the water, this is automatic and when switched on opens and disappears leaving the heated pool ready to be enjoyed. Then later in the day the underwater lights allow a romantic evening swim whilst watching the sun setting in the west.

The Tuscany region
Visitors to Tuscany come for many reasons. Many come in search of fine art, others to explore the extraordinary countryside. Gourmets and wine buffs descend on Tuscany to enjoy the simple yet wonderful cuisine and wine. Walkers enjoy the mountain paths, cyclists the rolling hills, summer vacationers the sea coast and islands.
There is a lot to see and do in Tuscany, the difficulty is really where to start. Certainly most should start with Florence, then continue on to Siena and Pisa. The roll call of città di arte, cities of art, is daunting: Arezzo, Cortona, San Gimignano and Lucca are all striking. The more you come to know the region, the more extraordinary Tuscany appears.
Within walking distance the Medieval town of Coreglia is worth exploring, especially the little museum. Lucca is a must to visit and only 40 minutes away by car.
A local restaurant, Arcile, is within walking distance to sample delicious local Italian food and wine.
Visit vineyards, hire a bike, visit Florence or even the beach. There is a children's water park at Viareggio and Grosseto. Puccini Festival in Lucca and surrounding areas for opera lovers during the summer. Barga Jazz festival.
Be pampered at the luxury spa at Bagni di Lucca.
