About the home

VILLA ZARA - is conveniently located, a short distance (300m) from the shops, bars and restaurants of the popular Coral Bay resort and about 10 minutes walk from the soft, sandy beach. The nearest bus stop on the route to Paphos is less than 5 minutes walk. Paphos is about 15 minutes drive to the east and the unspoilt Akamas Peninsula the same distance to the west.

Things to do in the area include Paphos Bird Park, reptile park, horse riding, Akamas Peninsular & Lara Nature Reserve, hiking/walking, buggy safaris, 4 x 4 safaris, sea caves area, sailing and many more. Amusement and water parks in Paphos are also easily accessible from Coral Bay as are numerous archaeological ruins such as the Tombs of the Kings.

The entrance hall leads to a large living space with comfortable seating for 6 people and a dining suite with seating for six. There is a TV with Satellite and CD/Radio/Cassette player.

The kitchen is well equipped with fridge-freezer, microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher and washing machine. There is ample cupboard space and a downstairs cloakroom.

Upstairs are three well furnished, air conditioned bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom is a double with en-suite facilities and a balcony with sea and inland views. There are a further two twin rooms one of which has a balcony and the other has a double aspect to the coast and hills.

The property is serviced on a weekly basis and includes all linen and bathroom towels. Air-conditioning which is provided in the bedrooms is included in the price. 2 travel cots can be provided free of charge on request.

Two sets of sliding doors lead out to the terrace where there is a large patio table and six chairs. Steps lead to the garden and private 8m x 4m pool, loungers and umbrellas. The garden is surrounded by mature hedging for privacy and there is further benefit of off road parking and a BBQ.

If in the evening (or we can't meet you), there is a keysafe which we provide a code for. We can arrange taxi transfer by our own driver who knows where the property is and assist with car hire from the airport if desired. The property is professionally managed and has linen changes and cleaning on a weekly basis. Air-Conditioning is included in the rental price as is a welcome pack of basic essentials for your arrival.**

The Paphos region

An excellent bus service takes you into the town of Paphos with its historical harbour, gift shops and restaurants. Also the ‘Old Town’ of Paphos with its blend of high quality shops and traditional markets.

Within a short driving distance are the Troodos Mountains, Latchi Beach, Akamas Forrest, Lara Beach, Aphrodite’s Rock, Baths of Aphrodite and three championship golf courses to name but a few. Paphos also boasts one of the best water parks in Cyprus.

If you want to get out and explore some fantastic scenery, take a trip to the Akamas, Polis, Latchi or even Troodos mountains. The Akamas is an untouched part of Cyprus with unspoilt coastline and traditional fish taverns in stunning seaside locations. Troodos is of course the main mountain range in Cyprus, not many people know that in the winter....you can ski!

The Coral Bay area

11 kilometres (15 minutes drive) to the West of Paphos and 3 kilometres below the friendly and picturesque, hillside village of Peyia is Coral Bay, the best natural (European Blue Flag) beach in the area. This is an established resort with many villas set apart from one another above a wide curve of dark golden sand. The summer heat is often tempered by a gentle breeze and the sea has a shallow margin where children may play safely. In the busier months, water sports on offer include pedaloes, water skiing, banana boats, jet skis and windsurfing.

Close by the Bay you will find large hotels, banks, shops, mini-markets (for provisions and souvenirs), bars, restaurants and street cafes for casual alfresco meals. There are tavernas and snack bars overlooking the sea and a large restaurant in the next bay which is open during the day. More tavernas and local shops are just a short drive away. Other nearby places to visit include the unspoilt Akamas Peninsula, Lara Bay (famous for turtles and crystal clear waters) and the dramatic views at Agios Georgios.

Buses travel all around Paphos and surrounding villages. The current deal of a day pass is 2 euros making this a great value way to see around the area.

“Close to amenities, very clean, comfortable would visit again” We would recommend the villa, only short walk to shops, bars etc. and ten minute walk to the beach which was clean, plenty of sunbeds etc. The bus service is very good and only 1 euro! for visits to Tomb of the Kings and Paphos Harbour etc. We will definitely visit again. Thanks to Andy for meeting us at the airport with the taxi and also the return journey and Gary for cleaning the pool. Thankyou all for making our stay enjoyable!

"We had a lovely break, the villa was very nice, clean and spacious. I am sure we will return for another holiday, and thankyou for arranging the taxi, Andy is very friendly and the drinks were appreciated on the way to the Villa! We liked the Elephant Restaurant, Mexican Restaurant, Phillipos Supermarket - well priced and plenty of choice and Coral Bay beach very nice and has a cafe with changing facilities etc. You provided a good friendly service with welcome pack was much appreciated on our arrival. Thankyou for the vouchers and return of the deposit and for all your help with the booking, hope you and the family have a lovely xmas''.

"We visited this villa at the end of September with our one year old daughter and 2 ofther couples. There was plenty of space of us to not get in each others way and the bedrooms were all a lovely size for us all to have our own rooms. Reading the previous reviews on here we expected to have a couple of resturants nearby in reality there were about 20 all down one road plus bars!! We olny went into Paphos a couple of times but you really didnt need to. Plus the local supermarket does free delivery which was handy with the amount of water we were buying!! Andy the Taxi man was very helpful and recommended a few places for us to visit and was always a phone call away and even arranged for someone else to pick us up if he was busy to ensure we didnt pay over the odds!! Very pleasant holiday and child friendly. Thank you"

"We needed a place to really chill after a horrible 18 months and this villa was IT! The vila was totally equipped, pool very well used by my kids, location perfect, close enough to shops, tavernas,bus stop(which was very cheap and easy to use),beach and car hire all near enough to walk. We did hire a jeep for 3 days to explore which was preferable for us but you are able to get trips and excursions within walking distance. Louise was on the other end of the phone if needed though we didnt need her at all as everything was so brill.. We totally loved it and will without a doubt return...and will certainly reccomend this to everyone I know.."

"It was very quiet even though the villa was situated wihin a couple of minutes walk from the night life in Coral Bay. We were never disturbed by noise and had a really relaxing holiday which is what we wanted and needed. Within the property there was everything that we needed for our stay it was lovely to have a welcome pack so that we could relax with a drink after the journey before we had to stock up on food etc. The villa was clean and comfortable and we were made very welcome by the agent who met us and directed us to the property and showed us round. We were then left to enjoy our time in Cyprus, knowing if we needed anything, advice or help Louise and her husband were at the end of the telephone to offer help. We felt it was value for money it met and exceeded our expectations and looked just like the photographs in the adverts. I would come again and I have already told friends and family how good it was.
