The villa is ideally located within a few minutes walk of Coral Bay but far enough away to enjoy a quiet and peaceful candlelit evening on the sun terrace by the pool. This villa is undoubtedly suitable for guests of all ages and highly recommended as an ideal family holiday.
The sun drenched golden sandy beaches of Coral Bay are only a few minutes walk from the villa and offers a variety of water sports including jet-skiing, boating, paragliding, snorkelling and scuba diving to mention some. The main street of the resort has a selection of supermarkets, tavernas, bars and restaurants offering a wide variety of international and local cuisines. Apart from the water-sports Coral Bay has a host of children's activities such as mini golf, go-karting and an amusement arcade. A bird and animal park can be found on the outskirts of the resort along with stables where you can take a horse ride along the sandy beaches.

Equipped with self catering in mind the villa has a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and toaster. The open plan kitchen area is separated with a breakfast bar leading onto the dining room with a large dining table and 6 chairs, double aspect patio doors lead onto the pool terrace and outdoor dining area.
Across from the dining room into the lounge area with plenty of comfortable seating, T.V. DVD and dual satellite system which receives plenty of English and international channels.
From a marble staircase to the upper level the Master Bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space, a comfortable double bed and en-suite shower room. Double doors open onto the south facing balcony with relaxing table and chairs for you to sit and absorb the Mediterranean sea views and the magnificent evening sun sets.
The family bathroom is located on the upper level and two further twin rooms which also benefit from sea and mountain views, both have ample wardrobe space.
All rooms are air conditioned - charges are applicable.

The Paphos region
Paphos is situated on the western coast of Cyprus. From the villa within a few minutes walk a bus can be caught to Kato Paphos and the main tourist area is land marked by the pretty harbour and dramatic Fort perched on the waters edge. The promenade is the perfect place for a stroll in the warm sunshine and you will find many tavernas offering fresh fish and local cuisine to while away an afternoon whilst watching the boats and watersports around the harbour.
Paphos is rich in ancient sites, including the House of Dionysos and the Villa of Theseus, with beautiful mosaic floors, and the Tombs of the Kings. There is a wide variety of activities and facilities to suit all ages whilst holidaying.
Pano Paphos is assessable by bus also where you will find the main town centre with its maze of narrow shopping streets and markets offering local produce which includes locally made lace, Cyprus delights and leather goods.
Enjoy an active life in the sun on a choice of beaches where you can try all water sports in the warm Mediterranean Sea from diving to the flying fish! The water park is a must for the children and adults alike. The Akamas National Park is approx 3-4 km away, including famous turtle reserve on Lara beach. The Troodos Mountains are a manageable drive and stunning day out, Polis and Latchi are within half an hour and worth a visit, another well recommended harbour to dine at!
The Coral Bay area
A large horseshoe-shaped cove flanked by steep limestone cliffs. It is the classic holiday sandy beach, with safe swimming and Blue Flag status. A 13th-century BC settlement, Maa-Paleokastro, has been excavated above its northern end.Lots of watersports and family-friendly activities. Plenty of eating places, sunbeds and parasols, plus inflatables, parascending, diving and water skiing. Even at its height it is possible to walk beyond the sunbeds and find uncluttered sand and relative peace.
The villa is just a few minutes walk from the 5 star Coral Beach Hotel where day passes can be purchased for access to the indoor heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, spa, tennis & all the outdoor pool areas at very reasonable rates.
Coral Bay is a few minutes from the evolving hillside village of Peyia. An ancient church overlooks its centre, while the narrow streets and alleyways are full of old and interesting houses. The village is still largely unspoilt with lively tavernas where you can eat at a fraction of the cost you would find in the main tourist areas.

We booked Villa Maria for a weeks stay in March 2013. The images on the website looked great and and the villa more than matched that. We had visited Coral Bay several times before but always stayed in hotels. Not only would I recommend Coral Bay, but I would definitely recommend Villa Maria as a base. The villa is absolutely immaculate and equipped with everything needed. Whilst the pool was a little fresh in March, it is a perfect size and well maintained. The location of the villa is ideal. It is situated on a quiet, gated area and feels safe and private. However you are only a few minutes walk to bars, shops and restaurants. This combination is perfect. Coral Bay is really nice, and Paphos is only a short, very cheap bus ride away. (The buses run every 10 minutes and only cost 1 Euro). Villa Maria is therefore superbly located for access to Coral Bay and Paphos, but allowing you a peaceful retreat. The beach is only 5 minutes walk away as well, so pretty much all holiday bases are covered. All round this is a superb villa in a cracking location, and couldn't be faulted. We would definitely recommend this villa to people, and would definitely return there ourselves. |

Second time staying at this villa and if anything it gets better! Location is ideal for the beach (either the public one or for crashing the local hotels' frontage) and the local harbour, all just a minute or two across the road. Far enough away from "the strip" but close enough to all the necessary amenities. Villa itself is beautiful - well furnished including satellite tv, dvd etc should you need it (we didn't) as well as all the usual kitchen appliances (which we did), and the pool is superb at all hours! As someone else has already said, the downside is that at some point you have to leave... we'll definitely be back!! |

I stayed in Villa Maria with my father and friend for 2 weeks in May. It is in a beautiful location with friendly people. The villa itself is high quality and very nicely furnished. The villa has a very nice pool and all the amenities you need for a fortnight. The service team, cleaners and pool man are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The local area was lovely and the closest beach within walking distance was the best one we found during our holiday. The local shops have everything that you need and the restaurants in Coral Bay include a lot of variety (the recommendations of the owners and their friends are worth taking on board). Paphos is only a cheap bus ride away and there are lots of things to do (Happy Feet was a dream). We hired a car at a reasonable rate ...if you want to go on the white roads on the local maps I'd recommend a 4 by 4 as they are very rough and ready. Our Jeep Safari to the Trudoos Mountains was very nice and a good day out. The weather was excellent but don't forget to use sun cream from day one because it is easy to get burned. We were pleasantly warm and didn't need the air con. If you travel later in the year it would be a must! I would definitely return to Cyprus and I would stay in the same villa again. I have already recommended it to all the people I know so why don't you take the chance! |
