Key Info

This beautifully-finished jewel box of a villa offers two charming levels overlooking yachts riding at anchor in azure Coral Bay and green British Virgin Islands beyond.

A few steps from the driveway take you right inside Into The Mystic's main level. The main level comprises a very well-equipped kitchen with handsome granite counters and sink, a powder room, a living area featuring a dining table for four and a large sink-into sofa for TV and movie watching. In an adjoining room there's a washer and dryer.

Conveniently outside the kitchen door is a covered patio with a large stainless steel gas grill. Inside the living area, two walls have glass slider doors; in front, these doors open to a spacious covered verandah which is furnished with a cushioned sofa and chaises, and a large alfresco dining table for six. This verandah looks out to a spectacular panorama of Coral Bay and beyond to Tortola and Virgin Gorda.

Just beyond the media area is another covered verandah with a hammock and the beautiful master suite, where you'll find a carved four-poster bed, TV, and a sumptuous master bath with two his-and-hers vessel sinks and a tiled shower.

Outside, down a few stairs on a middle level, is the swimming pool which looks out over that spectacular vista. The pool is set in a curved deck and bordered by chaise lounges and tropical landscaping.

More exterior stairs take you down to Into The Mystic's lower level, which is fronted by its own scenic deck furnished with chaise lounges, a table with upholstered chairs and a hot tub.

Into The Mystic, which was featured on HGTV, is completely air-conditioned throughout, and offers all the expected top amenities - and more. Its design and decor, which include original paintings by the owner, are artfully executed. This compact one-bedroom deluxe villa has it all, from St. John-style stonework to the decks, perfectly situated to catch island tradewinds and inspiring ocean views. And the road winding up to Into The Mystic's hillside location is completely paved - another plus.

You really haven't lived until you've seen the moon rising over the islands, scattering silver moonbeams across the sea. As the Van Morrison song's lyrics say, "Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic." Very highly recommended!

Note, the pool and hot tub are chlorine free.

There is a lower level at Into the Mystic that remains locked. The lower level will not be rented to anyone else guests will have complete privacy. The lower deck, table and chairs and the hot tub on the lower deck will be available to guests.

NOTE: As of August, 2013, Into The Mystic's the on-site manager will occupy the apartment beneath Into the Mystic from time to time. If she is there, she will gladly assist you regarding maintenance, concierge services, or for seasoned advice on island activities and anything else you might want to know, but your vacation privacy is, of course, completely assured. The lower level is not visible to Into The Mystic?s main floor, and the manager cannot see into the main level.

St. John is the smallest of the U.S. Virgin Islands. It features beautiful white sand beaches, turquoise waters, colorful coral and tropical fish, and green velvet hills. Two thirds of the island is the Virgin Islands National Park so the gorgeous beaches and forests will remain untouched and be accessible to everyone. Tour the national park by jeep or safari bus or hike the trails led by a park ranger. St. John is a peaceful, uncommercialized paradise yet still offers every facility and amenity that a resort has to offer. There is lots to do whether it be on land or in the water.

The St. John region

St. John is a spectacular Virgin Island with exceptional Caribbean beaches. It's also located close to many other nearby Virgin Islands including St. Thomas, Jost Van Dyke, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Peter, Norman, Cooper, Beef, Frenchman's Cay, Eustatia, Prickly Pear, and Anegeda.

St. John is world known as being a luxury villas destination. Most of the accommodations on the island are privately owned villas that are available for let. St. John is well known for its well-preserved natural beauty and attractive beaches, having 60% of the island designated as National Parks. Restricted development and preservation in St. John contrasts heavily with such adjacent and more developed islands such as St. Thomas and St. Maarten. St. John is a travel and honeymoon destination with two main resorts and one of the top ten beaches in the world. The island's high level of affluence has earned it the distinction of being the "Beverly Hills of the Caribbean."

Cruz Bay Town in St. John is your ferry stop island entrance full of great restaurants, shops, places to stay, watersport outfitters, bars, and other points of attraction. Enjoy Wharfside Village, Pusser's Landing, and other funky centers.

Coral Bay, once a secluded fishing village, is home to more great restaurants, bars, and shops. About 20 minutes away from Cruz Bay by car, it's a must see part of this island paradise.
