The North Wales / Denbigh/Flint/Conwy region

The nearby Snowdonia National Park offers unparalleled facilities and opportunities for a wide range of activities including rambling, pony trekking, watersports, angling (fly fishing available on the estate) and paragliding. Mountain hiking is also very popular as the Snowdonia National Park has over 2000km of public footpaths.
Mount Snowdon is regarded as a fine mountain, however, it can become crowded, particularly during the Snowdon Mountain Railway which sees hikers running to the summit.
The Conwy / Penmaenmawr area
The local area is additionally home to many important historic sites such as the magnificent castles of Conwy, Caernarfon and Harlech. The region boasts many areas of outstanding natural beauty including the stunning beaches of Anglesey, the forests around Betws-y-Coed and of course Mount Snowdon itself. Penmaenmawr's beach was recently awarded the Blue Flag mention and is only a few minutes walk from the property.
The international Golf course in Conwy is only 3 miles away, however, there is a closer golf course in the town. Fly fishing is available half a mile away.
All tourist attractions are within 15 - 40 minutes driving distance. The property is also very close to Llandudno theatre. The Medieval Conwy Castle is 3 miles away and makes a great day out.
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Penmaenmawr has also got a supermarket where you can stock up on your main grocery shopping.

My sister and her family recently came over to wales from america and expressed a desire to tour snowden and the surrounding areas as even though she was born in prestatyn which is not far away! she had'nt actually been to the summit of snowdon, So it was left to good old me to sort out accommadation for us all. I looked at quite a lot of places but in the end settled on graiglwyd springs holiday cottages as it gave us great scope to tour a wider area, and mightily glad i was that i those it as it went down really well with my sister and her family as they enjoy their comforts, on entering the cottage i knew i'd made the right choice as it truly was lovely, it was spotless, modern and extremely comfortable. My sister and her family have now gone home but on boarding her plane she asked if i could contact the owner as she was so impressed with the place, many thanks, ian clucas. |
